I noticed this message popped up after I sent someone a message: "We strongly recommend you look at the following users." and displayed 5 users. (the usual 9 thumbnails that shows on every page was shown a bit below this). Where does this recommendation come from? The chemistry tests or some comparison of our profile checkboxes? Or (horrifyingly) is it to stop idiots from obsessing (and sending hate mail if they don't get a response within 5 min) about the person they just message'd by distracting them with someone else?

I've noticed that they tend to have something in common with the person that you've just messaged. Location, height, body type, age... any one of those things will have the profile showing up in that section. Or (horrifyingly) is it to stop idiots from obsessing (and sending hate mail if they don't get a response within 5 min) about the person they just message'd by distracting them with someone else? Didn't you get the memo? You're suppose to follow up every five minutes until you get a response...

I have never seen this recommendation after sending someone a message. I wonder my choice of web browser (Firefox) might have some bearing on this.

I have never seen this recommendation after sending someone a message. Not to fear, I've yet to see it either - perhaps the "crystal ball" has yet to figure out what the hell I'm supposed to be checking out

^^^ Trapped The crystal ball has me figured out it seems. When I sent a message to a non-local woman half a province distant, I did notice this recommendation. The five recommended profiles are all in the same city as the woman I wrote to. I now realize that perhaps I was shown this screen before but I didn't really pay attention or notice it. "Message Sent" is in large font. "We strongly recommend you look at the following users. " is small text size and easy to miss, depending on screen size and display settings.

I haven't been paying much attention to this feature, but today when I remembered to observe, after I sent two messages to local people I wasn't shown any recommendations. Perhaps the people in my community are not worthy of recommendations for review.
