| newbie profile Posted: 11/5/2009 8:39:57 PM | This is my first review, and I'm new on here as well, so you will probably want to take more notice of the more experienced reviewers on here who do a great job. But here goes...
First of all I think your second picture would make a better main. You seem happier and a bit more lively in it. A few more pictures is never a bad thing, as long as they are good quality, friendly looking ones.
At the moment it says you are looking for talk/email, but the rest of your profile sounds like you are actually looking for someone to go out with. As far as I'm aware (still getting to grips with the site) having it set to talk/email will exclude you from searches if the girl is looking for a relationship. If you are wanting to meet someone on here, I'd change what you are looking for to 'dating'. Sorry if I'm getting the wrong impression of your intentions here.
You're still pretty young, so being undecided about children is probably ok on here. Some people might feel differently. With regards to having a car, N/A is a bit of a strange answer to most people. Either you have a car or you don't.
I'd probably take 'women' out of your interests. Whoever is reading your profile will know that already, and having it there may make them think you're only interested in one thing. The rest of that section seems pretty good.
About Me - Personally, I'd recommend re-writing this whole section. Most of it simply repeats what's in your interest section, and the reader already knows your name and appearance from your username and photos. Some women may appreciate the honesty in your profile, but "going out getting wasted, and making a prat out myself" probably isn't going to make a great first impression. You could maybe try expanding on some of your interests? A bit on why you like camping, what sort of music you like, what kind of physical fitness you're into, that sort of thing.
Being a bit of a joker isn't a bad thing, humour is great, but the term 'joker' might make you come across as a bit of a clown. I'm sure that isn't the case, but that's how a reader might react. It's generally better to try and show your sense of humour and personality through your writing instead of just stating that you have one. This will help you to stand out from some of the more generic profiles.
Saying that the girl must have a good sense of humour probably isn't necessary. I'd imagine a lot of girls do have a good sense of humour, or can at least appreciate one, and if you manage to inject some of your own into your profile then hopefully the girls who show an interest in you will share or at least like that Liam brand of funny. So get creative.
First Date - If I were a girl looking for a decent relationship, I probably wouldn't be too keen on what you've suggested. Frankly it sounds like you want to fill 'em with drink and try your luck. I'm guessing you don't want to give this impression. I still have no idea what you're looking for on here, but if that is it then perhaps 'intimate encounter' would be better than 'dating' or 'talk/email'. Maybe change 'get a little drunk' to 'have a drink', and 'see what happens' to 'get to know each other'. Again, the 'skipping that straight to the bar' bit sounds like you just want to rush into something.
Sorry, that turned into a bit of a beast. Hopefully you'll find something useful in there. Good luck :)

| newbie profile Posted: 11/5/2009 8:48:12 PM | OP - the first poster was pretty much on target. Go to the top of this forum and read the profile tips first. Pay attention while reading... rewrite your profile and come back here and bump your thread. There is just nothing there to review, Richard was kind.
I'm not.
