Your interest section is far too long, I'd scale it back to ten to fifteen. You mention working more than once in the first two paragraphs, you only need to say it once. Try combining the first half of your profile and the last half into two distinct paragraphs and have your list at the bottom of the page.
Your list of what you don't want in women will not help you. Derogatory words like fat, psycho, and schizo will only serve to work against you. The last line of your list of what you don't want in a woman should be deleted. "If you think this is arrogance, or that I'm wrong for knowing/saying what I want and don't want, you are particularly not what I'm looking for, but good luck out there anyway...," a profile needs to be completely devoid of any and all negativity, including any words that are negative. | |

I want to date your dog. VERY cute. Too bad the viewer has no clue what you look like… If you were cute as your dog, I “might” want to date you too. But I am betting your dog is much cuter than you.
Dude, that main picture needs to be of YOU. That is what the girls will click on, well unless they are super into dogs. A good quality photo with a smile is what you are after. Just your face.
What is it with the freakin list profiles today?? UGH! Try using a few paragraphs describing you, a hobby or two. Music tastes? What you are looking for in a girl. And my God man, try and be positive! Your lists of hates is as long as your likes. Never use negative descriptions, only positive ones.
Your profile reeks of negativity. No woman is going to want to be around that buddy.
Since you are always modifying your page… why don’t you read the profile tips at the top of the forum page and pay attention while reading. Then implement the ideas. | |

Your main picture is too dark for the purpose. It needs to be a better headshot of your face. And one picture is good, five are better! Your dog is adorable, and I like that you have a picture of him/her as well, but I need to see YOU better as I want to date you and not your puppy!
Interests - you heard it: Too long. Cut it down. For example, "awareness" is not an interest, it's a state of mind. Aside from that I really don't want to read a long list of these. 10-15 is a good number, but really, keep it under 20.
"In-shape, active, does it all,..." Kill that line. Half of it I know already having read so far.
The first paragraph starts a lot of sentences with "I", can you rearrange?
The bad list... I agree with the previous posters that you should delete it. However, if you must keep it, keep the facts, loose the explanations as to why.
The last two paragraphs (a lot of sentences starting with "I" again) are neat. I would put them above your lists though, as they tell me things about you I might wanna know before I decide that your list is such a turn off and don't bother reading on.
Also, I am confused: You list "kids" as one of your interests, yet you are undecided on having any of your own and turn away women who already have them. Leaving alone the debatable "unfair to me"-part, can you make up your mind?

Posted: 11/6/2009 10:28:02 AM | Dude, your profile is a mess, are you really this ADHD or spastic? The laundry list has got to go, it says that you can't focus on one thing long enough before going on to the next thing, much less a on a woman. Just pick the Top 5 or 8 activities and interests and limit it to that, even 10 is far too many. You can use the interests as a springboard in the "About Me" section to explain yourself a little more as the person that you are. People would love to hear about why you're learning Arabic and then segue into your military service. It's different, unique and is clearly you. I laughed when I read your "bad" list of what you don't want in a woman, and your profile as it stands today would only attract a woman with one or more of the "bad" qualities, while a woman on the "good" list would probably say "OMG" to herself, shudder and move on to the next candidate. Remember, you have exactly one chance and 10 seconds or less to impress a woman in these profiles, not drive them away. You need to lose both of the lists, reformat the "good" list into an easy to read coherent paragraph of the types of women you're interested in. The bad list should be implied or not mentioned at all, way too much negative and loaded emotional baggage there, says that you're still an immature kid that needs to grow up. Overall, I would tone it down a bit, you come across as full of yourself, so much so that you don't seem to have room for another in there. Generally speaking, women who have their act together aren't looking for arrogant guys with bravado and tons of hubris, they enjoy self-confident men with clearly defined goals. Your profile picture has already been mentioned a couple of times, so I'll add nothing here. Good luck, dude, and happy fishing!  | |
