Posted: 11/6/2009 11:48:26 AM | | I have been on POF for awhile now, but have never posted on the forums. I have had luck on here from time to time, but still feel like I am lacking something. I am usually the one to send out the messages, and never get many back. I want to be the kind of guy who gets lots of messages per day, but maybe that is far fetched. I would greatly appreciate if I could get my profile reviewed and then have some constructive criticism sent my way. Thanks! | |

Posted: 11/6/2009 12:04:46 PM | Completely new pics. Nothing in your car, nothing in your house, with an unmade bed in the back ground. No web or phone cam pics. Get out, have someone take pics of you with a good camera.

Posted: 11/6/2009 12:24:33 PM | I would say some better quality pictures how ever i wouldnt be to fusy about the backgrounds of the ones that are not your main picture as long as you can see yourself and try have your main one in good light etc.
Your profile needs a bit more information ie
What you like.... why you like it write about 2 lines or more on why you like each thing as you do not really have what you like to do.
Also you have written looking for a career you might want to put what in why etc.
Id move the part about im not a bad boy as most people would be able to tel just by reading your profile and how you reply to them.
Try not to put information in your written profile thats anywhere else like age, location etc
Maybe write a little bit about the sort of person you are and what sort of person you want and relationships your looking for | |

First, I can describe my white bed room wall with more pizzazz than how you described yourself in the "About me" paragraph, and its a white bedroom wall! It says absolutely nothing about who you are. Second, do you realize this is a "free" dating site? From your profile and your pictures, are you really that overconfident that you are all that and the "kind of guy who gets lots of messages per day?" That's not the message that I'm getting. For every 30 messages you send, 3 may respond, and of those, 1 might actually yield a date, which I am told is a really good respond rate. As for your pictures the other commenter is spot on, get someone to take some decent pictures of you, webcam and cell phone pix say that you just don't care that much and this is not serious for you. Get someone that knows you well to create a profile of you with some information about you that a woman can respond to! Finally, I can't stress this enough, please do not be one of those guys that send a 100 women the "Hi. How are you?" single sentence type of email which shows they looked at the picture but didn't even bother to read the description. That and the cutting and pasting reptition of the same generic message, which women can spot a mile off. It is actually the complete opposite lol I think I have to work twice as hard sometimes. I also don;t do the typical cut and paste technique, I actually read the profiles lol | |
