thank you to all the wonderful and friendly people who turned up and made it such a great night.
We were over 200 strong, so well done to the bar and security staff who looked after us too!
Photos will be appearing here soon, and I for one can't wait to see them.
Hope everyone got home safe and isn't suffering this morning... and watch out for your emails about a Christmas themed party which I'm hoping to get organised in early December.
This thread is the place to share your thoughts and give your feedback on the night, and also to help keep in touch with the new friends you've made, so don't be afraid to join in!
Also, I've included a poll for you to vote on ideas suggested to me for possible future parties, I don't know if I'll be able to provide them, but I'd be grateful if you could say here which ones you'd enjoy.

i'm just looking at my diary for the next one, but with it being in december i might not be able to make it (work ggggrrrrr) but i'll do all i can to get there

Thought it was a singles night maybe you can address this issue, not one to complain but it could get the site a reputation, (a bad one).

I believe there's a limit to how many pics Michael is allowed to post, and if they don't come out well of course they wont get posted, but I bet if you ask Michael nicely he could check whether he has one of you and either fit it in or send it to you directly?

Posted: 11/8/2009 1:20:39 PM | A lot in their 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's Sam.....it's usual for an event...the age group is middle and mature ages, predominantly mid late 40's and early 50's...its common across all events.
We get the same at Pontefract, Bradford, and Batley.....why not visit one of them one day...next Pontefract/Normanton one is 28th November.

Posted: 11/8/2009 1:49:42 PM | There were lots more over 30s but under 30s there too though, I think maybe they were just a little more camera shy making it look less than there were.
The photos were mainly taken near the dance floor where there was more room and slightly better lighting, younger folk tended to gather nearer the bar.
I'd say there were easily enough so that you wouldn't feel uncomfortable and had folk in your own age group to talk to. Some of them had been the time before and they obviously thought it was worth coming back. | |

Also a thank you to the unsung heroes I saw one lovely security lady taking care of a young lady (who was needing a little help). She was so nice and IF I ever get into that state then please make sure she is the one to look after me.
Big thanks to my friends - Pat for waiting for me and putting up with me in the car hehehe lol.

To Mel for making sure I got home safe and sound.
To Julie! for wanting to buy my shoes :P hehehe
