Not into the under 40 crowd, Fast cars, faster women and bull riding?
You don't want to meet drunken cowboys and 2 fisted drinkers?
We've got a place to meet that's just right. It's not the fanciest club in town, It's not the biggest club in town. But It's the newest. If you're looking for a casual place you can meet interesting people. It's NEW, it's BETTY's RUNWAY LOUNGE. Betty personally has invited us to get together FRIDAY November 20th at her place. It's for OVER 40 young at heart. No Admission is charged

BETTY'S RUNWAY LOUNGE
At the corner of MacArthur and Broadway right here in Wichita, KANSAS.
They've got a band that's not too loud, not too fast, not too famous. Prices that are not too expensive. You no longer have to drive to Kansas City or Tulsa for the good POF parties.
Our first 6 events were successes and Betty is having us back at no cost to us. We've got a place in Wichita that isn't charging a cover like the rest.
Fun to go alone or bring a friend. It's not unusual to see more females than males in the place, so don't think you can't come alone, you can, it's safe either way. Dancing is very popular, but not required. There are 2 pool tables, but no pool sharks..You can go even just to watch the people! Drink Specials and Soda, water and coffee available. The dance floor is about 1/3 the building and it's not unusual to actually get asked to dance. It's a really great place. So start making your plans. Join us to mingle, dance and enjoy lots of laughing. So grab your friends, grab your pool cue, (2 tables) and head on out to join us for some fun. Relax and make some new friends.
No pressure, no expectations. Casual dress-women know what's just right. Notice to GUYS-Clean shirt & combed hair, no 2 day wiskers, brush your teeth and dress like you're taking your mother out. (In fact- just when have you taken your mother out?)
Starts at 9pm to close. Some come early, some come late. Our age requirements say you must be 40 (or older), but all are welcome. Don't be a lurker!! Lurkers are people who are on POF, show up but don't partake in our group but stare from afar. We saw you last time. Join on in meet interesting people doing exactly what POF is all about.
DIRECTIONS: From your house-Drive down Broadway or MacArthur till they meet, and then you're there! The club is right on the corner, find a parking spot and come on in. Betty will have the PLENTY OF FISH (POF) tables RESERVED just for us. She's planning something special. This is the seventh get together at her place, you'll have to come down to see what made this "take off". There is even wireless internet for the laptop guru's...This is NOT a one time event.

Posted: 11/8/2009 6:14:53 PM | Been to all six of them. had a blast. I would have to say the last one (Friday, November 6) has been the best - they just keep getting better. Laid back, lots and lots and lots of laughs, dancing (or at least I try). It is really lots of fun, good drinks, very reasonably priced, and great service. band is good and play a variety - even good music on jukebox during breaks. Just cant think of any reason not to join in the fun! If coming alone, dont think anything of it - lots of warm welcome the minute you are in the door. Ronna does a great job of hosting and everyone makes you feel welcome. Hope to see you all there in two week.  | |

I will be there and folks we do have a good time. THe music is great. THey are very good musicians....... Had a great time! Sorry we left so early but it was that "first time/two hours" thing.  Hope to come back again and meet more of the group...didn't get around to everyone. Thanks again!
