Posted: 7/11/2005 6:30:34 PM | Well it makes sense to spend the rest of your life with someone with a great sense of humor. But isn't too soon to judge a guy by his profile or just on a first date if he is funny? I think humor comes in when people feel confortable with each other, it could be a minute for some, hours or days for others!

Posted: 7/11/2005 8:20:07 PM | I went out with a 48 year old guy, the only smile he cracked was his vertical one. He had not an ounce of humor in his body. The thought crossed my mind if I should check his pulse to see if he was alive.
I know I want a man with a sense of humor, and I don't think there's a man on this planet that doesn't want a woman with a sense of humor. It works both ways. There are different kinds of humor that people can have. | |

Maturity is having the ability to know when to apply it.

acting like he's driving a car. The nurse asks him, "Charlie, what are
you doing?"
Charlie replied, "Driving to Chicago!"
The nurse wishes him a good trip and leaves the room. The next day the
nurse enters Charlie's room just as he stops driving his imaginary car

We realize there is a time and place for everything, and we can be fair and judge things fairly, and if we truely think that the next time will get better, then we let it go, and give it another try. I would never judge anyone off thier profile if they have humor, thats just too hard to tell. Ive learned the hard way, people dont really take my sarcasm correctly sometimes, when its email, text or imed, cuz its hard to read it how the other wants it to be read, so as far as profile goes, no way. But first date, more likely to not go over so well with the absense of humor. | |

But other times I get stuck to entertain my buddies gf's and wives while they're talking about guy stuff. But hey who am I to complain at least I'm in the company of some babes. I do believe there is a thing to some women of being funny too much. I can be serious but damn why can't we laugh about the dude we ran into because we were laughing too hard to see him? But damn it was funny. | |
