I see some cities have a few sign up, some have 50, some have 100.
It seems to vary. I can do a search to see how many people live in my area.
Is it because people do NOT use the forums to know that there is such a thing as a POF Singles Mixer?
Maybe they just make a profile and think that's it.
So what keeps you from going to a PlentyOfFish Singles Mixer? | |

I post them on the website forums.
The notices get sent to email boxes.
The notices show up under your mail area where you see your Inbox when you check it.
I put it on the bar's Facebook (If they have one)

I put the next event and link in my own profile as they come up.
I am not sure what else I can do...LOL.
I tell people to click on Forums----then USA Forums----then Illinois------the red text "Illinois Singles Events".........and there is a list of all the events in Illinois including the 2 a month I plan here in Springfield.
I am taking ideas on how to get the word out! | |

The Red text in the forums are called "illinois Singles Events".

If you do not see it in there and want something closer.....then click on "Create a Party" link.
That is inside the "Illinois Singles Events". It should take you to....

If you host one..then it will be exactly in the best location you were looking for..LOL.
Actually---this is what many people do that do not see an event in the "illinois Singles Events" area that is close enough for them. | |

If you click on the icons to the right side of the postings...when you post a NEW one...
you can add cartoon characters.
One of them is the exclamation mark.
or you type : stop : which will get you the same effect.
You must have clicked on one of those animated characters.

Posted: 6/12/2010 1:45:21 PM | I live and work in Springfield. I have yet to see a line-up of events to attend. There were a few last year. I did attend a couple, they seemed to consist of guys who were there to drink a lot, and gals who were there to drink a lot (at the expense of those guys) and maybe "hook -up". While I do my fair share of partying, that scene was not what I was looking to find. I can do that any night of the week. I am more looking to meet, converse and maybe connect.
Is anybody up for that?
