It seems folks in Noway had a surprise on the way to work this morning. Was it something natural that anyone has seen before ,or should we getting out the tinfiol ?
What is it...seems it left many scratching thier heads.

In the morning rush hour, at 07.47, showed the special phenomenon in the sky. It is described as a glowing ball in the sky, which rotated and "thrown out" luminous rings. The phenomenon grew rapidly in a spiral, with bright white rings towards the edges and blue, bright rings in the center. Spiral grew steadily larger, until it eventually was significantly greater than both the moon and other things it will be normal to find in the sky.
"Spiral" also walked across the sky, leaving a bright blue track.

Awesome!

I have no idea what it is. I'm interested to read what scientists make of it though.

SpaceWeather.com has also picked this story up..
They are thinking its simular to a failed rocket launch from Russia back in 2006 .
The Russians claim it had nothing to do with them...

altho..this is all from my woohoo CT site.

Initially looks to me like it's some sort of projection, you can see a narrowing, faint shaft of light down and to the right. Clicked on one of the other clips and not sure how the "spiral" was produced, I'll wager it's man made though :-)

Here's a little something to consider:
Ever hear of Project Bluebeam?...Neither did I until today...
The following vid may or may not be fiction, but it won't be science fiction; the technology has existed for awhile now.

From Spaceweather.com:

The first reaction of many readers when they see this picture is Photoshop! Surely this must be a fake. But no, many independent observers witnessed and phtotographed the apparition. It is real.

Banbury continues: "It consisted initially of a green beam of light similar in color to the aurora with a mysterious rotating spiral at one end. This spiral then got bigger and bigger until it turned into a huge halo in the sky with the green beam extending down to Earth. According to press reports, this could be seen all over northern Norway and must therefore have been very high up in the atmosphere to be seen hundreds of km apart."

UPDATE: Circumstantial evidence is mounting that the phenomenon was caused by a malfunctioning rocket, possibly an ICBM launched from a Russian submarine. A Navtex no-fly alert was issued for the White Sea on Dec. 9th, and photographers appear to have recorded the initial boost phase of a launch below the spiral (see inset). A rocket motor spinning out of control could indeed explain the spiral pattern, so this explanation seems plausible, although it has not yet been confirmed.

Reminds me a little of the view I had through my telescope of Hale-Bopp when it developed a similar "spiral" in its coma from a single jet of gas and dust. It looked very cool. This, however, seems a bit of failed human technology. Of course, there will be many for whom such a mundane explanation will not seem nearly good enough. Have fun.

Ever hear of Project Bluebeam?

I read about Bluebeam sometime ago...
there is alot of info out there on the subject when you start looking for it.
I am sure we discussed it here at some point or perhaps it was another forum I visit
Its amazing what 'they' can do these days.
wasnt it Bluebeam that they used with a couple key figures of the 911 attacks
I remember reading somewhere that they had one of them in a cell
then they 'put a voice' inside his head..telling him to confess...he thought it was God
squeeled like a pig in the morning.

Of course, there will be many for whom such a mundane explanation will not seem nearly good enough.

Well Stargazer ,ya know I have alot of respect for your knowledge of the skies.
Can you think of what it might be ?
do you have a mundane explanation for it?...
seems everyone is still stumped ...
this could be your big break in the astronamical world !!
what the hell is that !!!

update

oh here we go..

According to alleged channelers of the Galactic Federation, the benevolent group of Ets from numerous star systems, our ancestors and relatives that have apparently been involved with Earth, or Terra, for a while, this was a vortex opening, the beginning of a 72 hour cycle culminating in a large burst of energy on the 12th and marking the division of timelines. It is said that Terra Nova (5D Earth) begins existing parallel to 3D becoming 5D Earth. This burst results in a more peaceful consciousness where decloackings will occur all over the globe following, or even on, the 12th. This splitting could actually be allowed to be carefully orchestrated by an intelligence or perhaps its just part of the cosmic plan, but supposedly some interesting things should begin to happen toward the end of this month as 70% of the population on Terra Nova will be noticing the changes. Also, with the decloakings will be a half step upgrade (or download) which will allow us to remember more of who we are, past lives, and what we've incarnated here to do, followed by announcements of Nesara and landings where we meet our soul families, the star families we were a part of before we got locked into the karmic cycle on earth

That was an anom posting but sure sounds alot like Blossom Goodchild ...lol

looks like space debris coming back to earth (into atmosphere), spiralling because it's not perfectly balanced. No clue what the "beam of light" might be, although in th evids I've seen no "beam", anyway--that may just be a rainbow effect of fuel in atmosphere. It's still cool, though!!

Ah, I see others say it could be rocket failure. Yes, could be.

I saw this article and at first was convinced that it was photoshopped or some kind of laser light show, until I saw some of the videos. Whatever it is, I'm actually glad this happened over Norway instead of oh, say, Kansas.

Maybe it's Commissioner Gordon summoning Stephen Hawking instead of Batman?

Considering the location, I'm surprised nobody has yet referenced Norse mythology, ...Loki anyone?

Ha ha! ...this IS an actual, bona fide, valid "troll post", ...my 1/2 Norwegian ancestry is laughing...

I would bet very heavily on a failed ICBM test, anyone care to take the bet?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1234430/Mystery-spiral-blue-light-display-hovers-Norway.html#ixzz0ZFsoSfRM

seems folks on my favorite CT site are still debating..lol

To the person who figured haarp... I google earthed Tromso, found the distinctive mountain shown in the fourth picture, and looked to where the beam appeared to be originating from. At the location 69 degrees 35 minutes 10.38 second N and 19 degrees 13 minutes 38.22 seconds east I found this:
EISCAT is an acronym for the European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association. It operates three incoherent scatter radar systems, at 224 MHz, 931 MHz in Northern Scandinavia and one at 500 MHz on Svalbard, used to study the interaction between the Sun and the Earth as revealed by disturbances in the ionosphere and magnetosphere. At the Ramfjordmoen facility (near Tromsø, Norway) it also operates an ionospheric heater facility, similar to HAARP. Additional receiver stations are located in Sodankylä, Finland, and Kiruna, Sweden. The EISCAT Headquarters are also located in Kiruna.

Daaaaamn I wish I could watch the videos...grrrr

Our humblest apologies to all you nice earthlings for this unexpected anomaly...

We would have sent our regrets to Norway; but we've not been able to figure out their language yet... So English will have to do for now...

As advanced as we may appear, we are not immune to common mistakes and what you refer to as Murphy's Law... Shit happens throughout the universe...

This should come as no surprise...

Anyway, one of our fractal-drive technicians failed to apply the requisite amount of isodonian ironfat to one of the many exuberator shafts which engage the transfixionation hyperdyne...

The resulting retro-pulse is what amazed and possibly frightened some of you...

Not to worry, though... No permanent damage, and nothing harmful or detrimental was released into your atmosphere...

Our mission, however, was temporarily compromised... But we'll be back...

We were attempting to sneak up on some of your cows...

I've had all the Big Rock stuff, I particularly like "Warthog". Ottawa is just across the river, and the LCBO being the largest procurer of wine, beer and spirits in the world means I can get practically anything.

As far as the light show though, I still see it more likely a physical thing (missile gone bad) than an "energy" one at this point. So perhaps the seasonal brew "Missile Tow Ale" (8%) from the Regina brew pub "Bushwakker" would be more appropriate.

ither way we have nothing to fear other than believing a lie.....

Being in Las Vegas, Nevada we are not too far away from Vandenberg Air Force base. Sometimes, whenever a missile is launched from Vandenberg the trail of exhaust gases produce spectacular and colorful shapes in the sky, usually just above the horizon .
It usually happens when a missile is launched just before sunrise or just after sunset. The exhaust gases are multi-colored in all shades of the rainbow, reds, greens, blues, yellows . They randomly shift with the prevailing air flow and can last for as long as an hour.

The video I've seen of the Norwegian phenomena don't look anything like the missile exhaust trails I've seen. However, the conditions might have been different producing a different effect.
A missile launch would be my 1st. guess about what it was.

well they are still fighting about it on my CT site...lol

I have been following this story quite closely and having read the comments so far I felt inclined to join and post on the subject. I work as a defence analyst and can say from previous experience that this is under no circumstances a rocket launch. I am by no means a rocket scientist but understand enough about the weapons to disprove many of the theories here. Here are my reasons:

Spiral caused by rocket fuel: Not possible
The rocket in use is a MIRV high altitude system which operates at heights many times that of commercial airliners, with the 3rd stage commencing at the edge of the atmosphere. The area covered in the sky by the spiral at such an altitude (anywhere between 35 and 45 km high) would be many hundreds of kilometers in diameter. This is physically not possible for a rocket of that size and with that amount of fuel.

Secondly, the perfect sprial formation would not be maintainable for that duration due to differences in pressure that occur as altitude increases, not to mention the effect of air movement (high altitude winds, slipstreams) which would naturally distort the spiral within a few minutes of it being produced. The spiral also rotates but does not expand itself from a central point, rather the rings of the spiral tend to move with the centre point which would not be possible if the spiral was relying on air movement (there is no giant tornada/vortex in the sky).

Thirdly, the illumination source for the spiral must either come from the sun or an external source. It does not come from the sun as the blackhole appears at the end of the video, which disproves solar illumination (the light source extinguished itself).

The effects I have just tried to disproved may be feasible (although incredibly unlikely) at a lower altitude near to the launch site but again not for the duration mentioned and this would mean the missile was launched from the mentioned military base.
Now I could go on disproving various aspects but to most people it should now be clear that it isnt a missile.
All talks of portholes, wormholes, aliens and project bluebeam are absolute rubbish and I think the more intelligent of you would have already disproved them in your head.
My opinion on this matter is that the object in the sky could be an advanced anti aircraft weapon which I know is being developed by the US/UK (and possibly other NATO states as well as russia). Now I dont know the specifics and I do admit there are flaws in my theory but I think the weapon fired is a rail gun. It fires shells at incredible speeds, leaving a trail of burning hot plasma behind it in the air. It would have to be fired from Norway though but it displays similar characteristics to those shown in the video, albeit for a much shorter duration.
Alternatively and I think it is also very likely if not simple, the thing is a hologram. When you turn off a hologram it goes dark from the centre outwards (the opposite to when you turn off an oldstyle TV), which is demonstrated in the video.
Anyway, whatever it is, it isnt a rocket, that much I know .

If it was Russians that fired a missle without warning ,then they are in some doo doo for not giving a warning first . I do believe the UN has laws about that...lol.

Then there are the reminders that for the last year, we have been warned about 'black holes' from the LHC thereory crowd.

Seems funny they would be firing missles over a country when Obama was arriving in Noway the same day..coincedence perhaps ?

The saga continues...might have been Balloon boys folks at it again too
I think thats the next 'official report' about to come out.

I noticed in that artical that you linked up , that the russians claim to have had a failed missle test..but even still, had no idea what that blue light was themselfs.
could that be a second coincendence ?
