The POF product placement was ingenious advertising. I am curious how the relationship between her video and the POF site came about. Nonetheless this video will go on to get 100 million views over time EASY. That equates to millions of new POF users... It will pay back incredible dividends.

Nothing new about organic marketing / product placement, it has been done for any years and is the future or marketing.
...Dating website PlentyOfFish is an equally surprising advertiser but their "Director of Love," Kate Bilenki, tells us it's paid off: "We've noticed a massive jump in brand awareness (if you search for us on twitter every post is about Telephone) as well as existing users returning. We did see about a 15% increase in Plentyoffish searches so far and the numbers keep climbing."
This isn't POF's first foray into what's being labeled by some as "organic marketing:" "... we had previously been integrated into a music video by Flo Rida called 'Available' and this was the next step for us after that."

Pretty sure[ok,I already know] I won't bother with the video.....Lady Gaga isn't really my idea of entertainment.... but it does beg the question.....
Even if it's just a video[read that as "make believe"] how would any normal mind reason that a guard,I guess not really interested in the task at hand,is a plug for this?
Because a convicted axe-murderer, maybe, was photographed with a Budweiser in his hand at some time do you really think that's a plug for A/B? | |

Lady Gaga is well known for the product placements in her music.
I see her as the new Madonna.
The video is actually a tribute to a lot of movies.
The basic motif is a riff off the exploitation women in prison movies.
Those movies where the population is almost 100% sexy women. LOL.
The P*ssy wagon is an homage to Kill Bill, which is in itself an homage to lots of
other films. I'm sure someone with a lot more film knowledge will be able to find
lots more references.
Call it genius? No, not really. Call it artistic? Absolutely. | |

The most interesting thing to me, in that video, was that Lady Gaga got to get her dig in against the rumors that she has a masculine extra "appendage." Other than that, it's just another music video. I like the music well enough. None of them are worth getting het up about. If you don't enjoy the music, change the channel!
Funny you should mention that, I seem to spend more time wondering if she is actually a she or a he in disguise when I watch her music videos! lol. Manly facial features especially in that disco stick song but apart from that he music videos are dark and interesting. Having said that she is becoming arrogant, just a few hits and already releasing a greatest hits albums....I mean c'mon, give me a break! | |
