| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/26/2010 9:33:42 PM | Looks like a pretty crazy bunch so far, should be fun. Sorry Pooh but being an angel is false advertising. So smack me, I just couldn't resist. Just been feeling naughty lately. Must be the cabin fever. I'd better get out before I spontaneously combust | |

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/28/2010 1:36:08 PM | I would have to say most of the woman who go to these parties are divorced or never married. Most of the woman in there 30's are still happily or unhappily married and also many if them have younger children who cannot just be left at home Saturday nights without a sitter. I think you will find that lately there has been a different crowd each month. The median age is probably about 42 meaning that some are younger and some are older. Honestly, I know about 5 ladies all in there 30's that go to Sidelines on a regular basis. To meet more people you could volunteer to be a greeter at the door that way you meet everyone who comes through. Just a thought. Even just dancing with all the ladies like Mr.RJ does is a nice way to meet people | |

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/28/2010 9:01:21 PM | Good ideas Mr. Rj
I'm sure that when you go to start a party thread it will walk you through it. I've never done one, but it seams like it wouldn't be much different then posting on here.
(back to the party thoughts...)
Sooo...Who will dress like Heff (did I spell that right?) Jeff, Rj, Jim??? Might be a lot of bunnies there for Easter
We can even do the bunny hop around the tables
I hope that Elmer Fudd doesn't show!

I am so cruel that I have even done an Ozzy impersonation biting the heads off of marshmallow peeps. I am just that kind of a guy! This is the only warning U will get.

Wannamakemelaugh: Bring whom ever you like, the more the merrier. We are a pretty good bunch so you don't really need backup but if it makes you feel more comfortable bring them along. Tell them they have to dance with RJ though.

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/29/2010 5:24:25 PM | Geez, no wonder no one is on here anymore. You're all on facebook playing imaginary farmer. Well, I am going to send an imaginary frost killing your imaginary crops and make imaginary steaks out of your imaginary cows and have an imaginary cook out! Who's ready for barbecue!!!! | |
|
| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/29/2010 7:20:15 PM | Wannamakemelaugh, & 73Challenger, I have only been to two parties so far myself. So I know where your coming from. Both times I have walked in alone. The second time I wasn't as nervous. But it is nice meeting new fishies & dancing !!!! Mr.RJ, if your offering dances I'D LIKE TO GET IN LINE TO DANCE WITH YOU !!! I look forward to meeting all of you !!! | |

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/29/2010 9:08:34 PM | Welcome to the new folks! Please don't hesistate to say "hello". I'll be the nut on stage dancing next to the much-more-nimble Kat.
So what's this about biting the ears off of bunnies? And forget the imaginary steak - I want the real thing!!!

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/30/2010 8:24:30 AM | OMG! Sorry for not being around. I've been on "the farm" trying to protect it from Mr. Frost...I mean Mr. Rj.
Nooo....don't eat my imaginary cows! I can't imagine them that quick to replace them.
Well, I guess I won't be dressing up like a bunny. I'd hate for an Ozzy impersonation to be done on me.
Isn't it time to yet???
Welcome to all the newbies!! I still remember my 1st time. I got up & danced a couple songs. I figured, I don't know these people, I'd never see them again so I'm gonna have some fun. Here I am, years later & crazier then ever.
Don't be to nervous to get up & dance. When you jump right in you'll have more fun. Still nervous? Find one of us vets to help you out

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/30/2010 9:02:15 AM | Geez, I remember my first time. I sat at a table in the back with Patti and Kat. I would have sat there all night had it not been for Ruthie and Crok dragging me onto the dance floor. Had it not been for them I may have never come back. Now the place is cursed with me, they can't get me to leave! So now I try to do the same for others. Where the heck are those Canton people? Get your butts signed up! | |

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/31/2010 9:30:57 AM | This Sidelines party will be my 1 year anniversary of going to parties, and Sidelines in April of last year was my first! I remember reaching out to a couple of people before the party and being encouraged to come even though I didn't know anyone. I hit the door and was promptly and warmly greeted by Red Diamond. Then I heard a shout from the dance floor. "CHRISTINE?!?!? Is that YOU?!?!?!" It was someone I'd known for almost 8 years but had no idea he attended PoF events. I got the biggest hug greeting of my life and ended up having a blast.
From that moment on I've been hooked, attending several other events held throughout northern Ohio. You never know who you'll meet and what will happen until you come out and join the fun!

| Sidelines (Brunswick) April Party 4/10/2010 @8:00 PM Posted: 3/31/2010 3:45:16 PM | I personally love meeting new people. I grew up shy, quiet and introverted. Through the years I realized that I was the only one that could change that.
You guys all know me now and know that I don't have a shy bone in my body! Thank you Lord!
As for our farms Mr RJ: It's kind of hard sitting on POF for long periods of time with no attention!
Glad to see newcomers. It will be great to meet you all!
My first party......Lordy. It was Sidelines December 2006. Bout 40 people. No music. met a few great people including Doug. Next Party was bigger. Then we asked Phil for a DJ and prayed we made enough money at the door to pay them. The parties got real big and people want us to move the party but we stood our ground and told others to start parties. They did and that's great cause there's always a safe place to go and hang out with friends.
