She looks like an angel every time I see her face
She dances in my mind wearing a black cocktail dress with lace
I used to hate certain days of the week
With her now times are never bleek
We walk alone and stop to see the sights
We hold each other under the flickering of Christmas lights
The lake is packed with the weekend crowd
With her the sun is always shining without a cloud
She is every woman to me and all I need

someone to build a life with and not from a foundation of sand.
I stand here in my black cocktail dress of lace searching from face to face
I know he is out there I must be looking in the wrong place.
I walk alone, eat alone, and sleep alone
Hoping soon to here a loving voice on the other end of the phone.
Longing for someone to hold me and tell me I am the one
Because without him it's only clouds, no sun.
Some days it's a want and others it's a need
But for now I just don't want my heart to bleed.
