Hotmail Junkmail???Page 1 of 1
I have just changed to clearnet,my inbox keeps filling up with spam/junkmail from Hotmail, they are nearly all references to porn sites and at the bottom is an ad for Hotmail.I find this a bit obvious, they are saying Hotmail better security for your mail service, well if it's them sending the junk mail then they are not going to spam themselves,so that would be true.I think this is dirty tactics to be honest and I'm suggesting to anyone thinking of using Hotmail, don't.They deserve to be boycotted after stooping so low,the cheek of it,and they think this will encourage people to use their service!!!,,,I will be blocking Hotmail from sending me anything just as soon as I can figure out how to do it. There are several options on my webmail page.I email from the clearnet webmail page, anybody with a Linux system will understand why,on dialup it's a nightmare to get your in and out boxes to work.Has anybody else been getting flooded with junkmail from Hotmail???

I have just changed to clearnet,my inbox keeps filling up with spam/junkmail from Hotmail, they are nearly all references to porn sites and at the bottom is an ad for Hotmail.
The messages are not coming from "hotmail" they are coming from a user/s that has a hotmail account.
At the bottom of all "hotmail" messages there is an ad for hotmail, that is nothing new.
The ironic things is, I would say if you should be upset with anyone, it should be "clearnet", unless you provided your new email address to a bunch of porn sites.
I will be blocking Hotmail from sending me anything just as soon as I can figure out how to do it.
Now that is some comedy gold right there.
Ironically if you where using hotmail, it is a simple click to block a sender.

This may not apply, but... there's something out there that knows how to hijack your hotmail account to send spam to your contacts. I'm not sure if it's a virus or rootkit that lives on the computer, or just some clever code embedded in ads or web pages. It only happened a couple of times, several weeks apart, so I'm guessing it was some web page or ad. Changing my Hotmail password and not letting Firefox cache it will hopefully prevent this from happening again. This wasn't just a case of faking the sender; the spam was actually sent from my Hotmail account, and was in the "sent" items there.

I'm pressuming it's like provider wars,by attacking my inbox and suggesting this wouldn't happen if I was with Hotmail, makes it blatantly obvious to me.Hotmail is sending the spam.It would be like microsoft sending out viruses that attack Linux systems, and as your computer freezes an ad for microsoft appears saying microsoft offers better virus protection.I don't agree that it's just an attachment to the mail, other emails don't arrive with ads attached. They are wasting their time and mine, all the sites are porn sites trying to get money,I never pay for porn, never have and never will,it's so easy to get it for free why would anyone pay for it???

Just flag it as spam, and add them to your block list. Are you using a browser or email client to access your account?

I suggest you switch over to Gmail, almost all spam goes into my spam folder which is automatically deleted in 30 days.

Unfortunatly it happens with all service providers, I had telus my telus email got up to 2000 as i didn't log in for a week.... needless to say just deleted the account. hit it as spam and junk each time they eventually stop, just beware of those private inbox messages they are from random users who browse your profiles in hotmail as it creates on once you use hotmail, then they send you notes asking to click on a link to see them in their hot panties etc, they do not care if you are male or female... they are viruses.
