| Any InternetRadio listeners here? Posted: 7/18/2005 3:19:27 PM | Yup... As a child growing up, long before you were gleams in your fathers eye, I was lying on the floor beside our upright radio, my ear pressed against the brown diamond braided cloth of the speaker, listening to Hop-a-long Cassidy! Of course sometimes it was The Loooooooone Ranger! Nowadays I turn to Mystery Play 1 radio for the old classics or ACB Radio Treasure-Trove. So this Grandma can still travel back to Glen Miller and Tommy Dorsey, or even to Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee... now that was music to my ears! Thanks for reminding me...*grin* | |

The actual age gradient is leaning heavily towards my generation these days as the baby boomers 'come of age' But I don't know anybody who doesn't love to be read to. You would recapture us oldies and introduce a whole new generation of people to the wonder that was radio before television made our imaginations lazy!

Also lots of folk and appalachain tunes, anyway, it's great to listen to during the workday because I never get bored with it or hear the same song twice! www.wncw.org.

I do liosten to Internet radio a lot lately. I prefer the Oldies and Blues stuff from 44-66. Found an all Mod radio station, a great one called Electric Lemonade (Psychedelic 60's punk) and been searching out some fantastic Rockabilly, Surf, and old classic soul

He usually has a featured album from the period and plays 3 tracks, also a celebrity interview with them on about their time in the seventies and influences at the time and people can get requests. You do get a mixture.

Posted: 7/27/2012 8:19:55 PM | I have been listening to SKY-FM jazz station out of the UK...they have lots of celebrity host, like most recently, Huge Groove, Incognito, Eric Roberson, John Legend ...it's 24/7 the best in contemporary, fusion, classic, and some bebop..and swing...I also have the app on my smart phone...fantastic. There is also a Smooth Jazz Lounge which has been newly added...along with spotlight entertainers such as Miles Davis, Thelonias Monk, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Cannon Ball Addely, etc. Yes, I love some jazz..
Then theres Pandora where I can listen to what they play or build a playlist of my own..love it.
