lets just take a little poll, shall we

Gals often wonder why guys wont commit, well, How about letting us see who actually walked from your last marriage. Who got burned in divorce? I don't want to hear any excuses like He cheated, or she wouldnt boink me any more. Just the facts, who walked, and was it your choice?

My wife not only walked, she took our girls and ran after a brief argument, which has always been fairly rare in our relationship. The rest I won't go into. It would be repetitive. But she wanted to get back together. So we did.

My ex wife called the police and said that she was planning on leaving and that they should come to my house so there wont be any problems.... They show up and ask me to go to the park with my daughter so that my ex could get her things and come back in 2 hours. I thought ok, this way my daughter doesnt have to see anything so I leave.

I get back 2 hours later , and no sh*t, my house is empty!!! She called everyone she knew and emptied my house!! I called the police and they said oh well!!! She said the things were hers, if they arent, settle it in court!!

So my mom, my brother and my aunt loan me some things so that I had some furniture and things, I went to work on the Monday, at the time I was a trucker so I didnt get back till Wednesday.....

Go inside my house, and once again, it was empty!!! Is that not low??

The police were 100% on her side and basically it was her word against mine!!

I dont know if this was what you were looking for , but I really did get burnt , twice!!!!

I did a 1-year unaccompanied tour in South Korea..... without my family.

Of course my ex wife was cheating... She's a stripper...... I knew that.. no big secret.

What killed me.... is that when I got back, I had to hear about it from my 5-year old daughter. This guy was living in my house, using my income to support himself, taking family vacations with my family, exchanging X-mas gifts, having Thanksgiving dinner, etc.

So... I got back from Korea..... and I kept everything secret. I told my ex-wife that I wanted a divorce... but she could have everything, custody, material items, etc. I told her we would remain friends, have a civil divorce, etc..... Even had sex with her a few times to show her I was still "friends" with her.

Then...... completely in secret, and to her surprise.... I slapped her with divorce paperwork, custody paperwork, and a restraining order, and had her removed from my home by the police.

That was Jan 4th, 2002.... I've been a single man since then.

Now.... my daughter is 9..... she lives with me..... and my ex-wife pays ME child support. I still live in my home, and I got the Acura AND the Porsche in the divorce...... She got the 1988 Jeep Cherokee.

Advice to you men..... don't date/marry strippers---- LOL

How's that for a story??

You really do learn who your friends are when you split with someone..... You see the change in everyone, or the best is, I had to help, my wife or girlfriend would have been mad at me if I didnt help..... True friends are rare!!!

I was married 19 years and im the one that walked away, I signed everything over to him, took nothing with me, left the same way I came in to the marraige with nothing. Neither one cheated on the other one nor had no intentions on doing so, we grew apart he was happy to just settle and ride the fence in order to keep from losing anything in a divorce so I on the other hand felt that material things meant nothing when it came to a peace of mind or happiness. We had no kids, had nothing to fight about, hes got his house, his boat, his truck, his camper and his own laundry and house keeping to do...and I on the other hand....have a feeling of peace the last 6 years I didnt think id ever have again.

Mine left and took it all, as in I had nothing, not even a box of K/D. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life.
Two years with out a call from her.....never even seen her on the streets. Then one day she calls and tells me that I could help her make a cute kid.....slept with her that night....a few weeks later she's prego! We now have a cute kid and she still has everything and we still don't talk. Pretty good deal if you ask me!

Husband went to FT Macmurray for work...oddly he never made it and never sent much $ home for me and the kid....heard later he got as far as Hope, shaved his head and decided to "reinvent" himself. He ended up in Calgary, got his nipples pierced and started advertising in swinger's mags as "Lonely Sub".

Man, can I pick them.

I did alright this time though for the settlement....had pictures LOL

My wife decided she didn't want to be married anymore, so after cleaning out the savings account,as well as everything else of value, just left. Divorce papers followed a few months later. She didn't want to talk about it,nor try to work it out.
We were married for nearly 25 years, and for her to make the biggest decision of my life, without even asking me for my opinion, hurt. It hurt alot.
I'm not saying divorce was right or wrong, only saying that it could have been done in such a way as to be less painful...especially to the kids.

funny how most men claim that they were cleaned out. how come i never did that? what am i missing? on topic I walked out on both. in either case did i walk out with more than i brought in. actually i left with less. actually i did walk out with much more bitterness. so on the positive side i did leave with something.
