2011 NFL MOCK DRAFTS AND YOUR TEAM ?Page 1 of 1
OK HERE IT IS IN A NUTSHELL AND YES I KNOW THE "SUPERBOWL GAME " HASNT EVEN BEEN PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT FINDS THE MOCK DRAFTS ENTERTAINING.

1. WHAT ARE YOUR TEAM NEEDS QB ,OT,OG ,C RB, WR ....ETC.

2.POTENTIAL BUSTS AND SLEEPERS

3 . WHO DO YOU WANT YOUR TEAM TO PICK

I REALIZE THIS IS VERY EARLY BUT WE MAY NOT HAVE ANY GAMES TO WATCH THIS YEAR SO CHIME IN WITH YOUR PICKS.

Cowboys needs OT ,OG, DT, FS

1.First off the Cowboys need to address there offensive line as they went through both ROMO and KITNA before the season ended.

1st pick trade down a few spots and pick Nate Solder left tackle o line 6'5' 285 needs to gain weight but extremely agile on his feet has great potential as he is only 20 years old

2nd pick .......Most of the top defensive lineman will be gone by the 42 nd pick so I would go with Rahim Moore safety UCLA possibly get a D lineman in Free agency

3rd pick more help for the O line hopefully a roadgrader OG for the running game

another 3rd pick for trading down the best possible CB for eventual replacement of an aging Terrence Newman

4th pick another big D lineman to replace DeMarcus Spears who will be let go due to salary cap

5,6,7 picks. Best value players left on the board......for special teams and possible sleepers or backups.

I think mock drafts are entertaining.

"1" I would agree Dallas needed to improve on their o-line last season but didn't.

Hmmmm .....wasn't that the Giants defense that got to Romo????.... yup sure was Hey if Jerry actually learned from that maybe he will indeed go for some O-linemen in the first round, and just think you would have the Giants to THANK!

It is early so I haven't had a chance to look at who's who as far as the draft prospects. However I do I have some areas I would like to see Giants improve. I'll have to post at a later date on the WHO I would like to see the Giants pick in each position once I check them out, not that Giants ever listen to me. Giants have been pretty busy with their team transaction since November, but that's nothing new for the time of year, they "signed to future contracts" several positions like QB, CB, 2DE's TE... they terminated Bomar as back up QB.....

Anyway my top picks in order *SO FAR are (*this may change depending upon Giants future transactions )

1. OT - Giants line is really aging and they have been plauqed with injuries since the 2009 season.... Giants picked up very few O-line men last season and as the season went on the injuries left us with very little lineman. With Koets on Injured reserve we are down to 3 tackles and 2 of them Diehl and Mekenzie, although GREAT at one time are aging and have been having injury problems.

2. OG - were down to 4 Guards 2 of them Booth and Suebert again although great players at one time are aging and having injury problems.

3. Safety - we are down to three. Giants signed on Grant and Rolle whom I think are both great players but are getting up their in age and I'm hoping Rolle stays as he has been complaining about the team all year. Phillips is young and awesome.
But we need more depth just in case.

4. Linebacker Giants really haven't filled the void of losing Pierce and with Sintim placed on injured reserve we are thin on linebackers, with Giants playing the 4-3 our Front 4 are awesome and we have "some" depth there but we still need a better 3.

4. RB. Jacobs and Bradshaw both did awesome this season, Ware did ok but I din't think he was a "great" 3rd runner. I would love to see Giants pick up a good runner to give us great 3rd runner maybe even use him on special teams too since we don't have a good return guy, unless they plan to utilize one our WR's

5. Center, O'Hara is great but again he's aging and has had injury problems

6. QB, Giants are down to Eli and 1 back-up. And get this our Back-up guy has been around for 10 years and has only played 32 games, had no playing in 2009 or 2010 and in his 32 games he threw 20 touchdowns and 19 interceptions HMMMM????... kinda sounds like stat by the great Eli as of late.....OMG, JMO but ah.... no thanks.

7. Hmmm toss up a WR? to be used as a return specialist unless they fill that with a good RB that can catch or CB ?we have 5 on the roster, 1 of which we could drop in my opinion and 1 rookie who hasn't really played so I don't know what he's like so we have 3 good ones left Thomas ( my favorite) Webster and Ross. Or any other good potential player? that would be just good to have.

My biggest concerns with the Giants Eli's interceptions and special teams not sure where the problem really lies with Eli and special teams... for some reason both Coughlin and Mara don't keep me updated of the inner goings on, could be (and this is just an educated guess on my part) because they have no clue I even exist ! I think maybe a new Qb and special team coaches are needed? not sure if our punter just sucks or just needs more practice since he's a rookie???? and our aging O-line.

LOL that was funny Broncs.

Yeah Broncos had a lousy season, I can understand your disappointment, but the great thing about football is that they can make trades, sign on free agents, draft.... so at least there is always the hope of your team being able to re-build and improve...... anything can happen!

Now that the Super bowl is over, the next thing to look forward to is the NFL Combine.
It starts Feb. 24 and runs until March 1, since I Finally get NFLnetwork this year I get to watch it on the TV rather than trying to read up on things on the internet like I usually have to.!!! Cool!.....

Yup! Totally agree...Time to move on to the drafting and free agency too.

The Patriots have done excellent job this season, even though they didn't win the big one. A lot of people at the beginning didn't think they would win like they did, so overall...Not so bad.

Anyway...Defensively- Most of their players are fixed for next season due to contracts and most of them are young. I can say that several rookies from this season did an outstanding job and just to name one, CB McCourtney. His 7 INT was one of his easiest thing to point out. It reminded me of the Ty Law days. INT this season was the most improve I've seen, which was horrible the year before.

What the Patriots need for defense? No doubt DE. I would prefer to have the Patriots get a veteran DE, but my gut would see it happening in the draft. The Patriots lack pressure on the QB this season, so I would assume the Patriots are working on it.

Offense- Two positions that need help, RB and WR. I don't see this happening in the draft...At least not in the 1st round. Green-Ellis will be a free agent and I'm sure he will resign with the Patriots, but kiss Sammy Morris and Fred Taylor good bye. Those guys are goners!! I have feeling the Patriots will go RB in the draft, but late into 2nd or 3rd. I guarantee will sign some free agent, but not sure. I would like to see Ricky Williams as a Patriot. This guy still got juice.

WR...Chad Johnson!! Rumor has it that he wants to play for the Patriots. The only thing Chad needs to do is stop his trash talking, stop his reality shows, and twitter crap...And maybe, just maybe we might see OchoCinco as a Patriot.

That's all I got...More to come!

Pats are already loaded with young talent, and they have something like 3 picks in the top 35 ; yikes!!

My Steelers wish list:
Cornerback -- Steelers pass defense is their weakness
Defensive Line -- unit is still good but getting long in the tooth other than Ziggy Hood
Linebacker -- with 3-4 scheme always in need of depth at LB
Offensive Line -- unit played better as the year went along, and should get 3 starters back that missed the SB
Receiver -- unless Limas Sweed finally makes the team, need a tall receiver
Placekicker -- Suisham needs some competition in training camp

That would be the best time to trade down to get more picks, when your team has enough young talent, good planning. So far NE has pick #'s 17 and 28 in round 1.

Giants have 19th pick in round one....UGH!!!!

Good choice with the CB for the Steelers New, I don't really watch the Steelers but they sure could have used some depth in the CB position in the Super Bowl.

Best move for the Cowboys would try to acquire OT Marshall Yanda from the Ravens who is now a Free Agent.

I got to watch some of the combine today, mainly the OL which Giants really need.
It was kind of cool as I have never had the chance to actually watch the combine, some of the top picks for OL that I'd love to see the Giants get would be Castonzo and Solder but I'm sure both guys will be gone by the time the Giants get to pick.

They also did the TE's today, too bad I didn't get to see any of them but from what I hear Green stood out the most.

I know they showed Coughlin watching in the stands and taking notes.

The Colts are my team, so here goes.

Offense-wise, they're very deep. No complaints there. Defense is another story. The D-line is solid on the ends but thin up the middle. Wouldn't mind them taking a defensive tackle. Their linebackers are awful. When your top linebacker is Gary Brackett, you've got issues. I was actually presently surprised this season by their cornerback play. Kelvin Hayden performed very well in the season. Maybe draft a safety to make up for the loss of Bob Sanders.

The Redskins are WAY worse off than the Broncos. We need pretty much everything. Haven't had a decent QB since the nineties, only barely managed to build part of an O-line last year, still have only a mediocre set of kickers, and the few guys who WERE good, are about worn out. So we need a full set of running backs, all new wide receivers (okay, MAYBE they can squeeze another season out of Moss and MAYBE they can get Armstrong to play decently). Since the completely new coaching staff has put in an entirely new offense and defense, it's very hard to tell whether anyone who was on it last year is going to pick up the new system and make it work or not (except that it was clear BEFORE they brought him here two seasons back that Haynesworth was a detriment to any team who's dumb enough to hire him).
And more than anything else, we need to hire a talented burglar, who can regularly break into the owners house, and steal his keys to the stadium and the other Redskins offices. Keeping him AWAY from the team is by far the MOST important part of bringing the team back.
