Thanks for coming out & making this such a unique & interesting party. Among our notables, we had a published author, a prize winning race car driver a competition winning ballroom dancer / teacher & a cook who is so great, a certain dish is probably named after his ancestors !  Thanks guys for coming out to share your gifts with us ! We had interesting fishies from Tampa, Orlando & Altamonte Springs.

Special thanks to my friend Nancy who will never see this because she's not POF, but took care of the door...Alan - who always works so hard & willingly helping with EVERYTHING, Dave - who so much tearing down, loading & delivering, Steven who baked his world famous cake, Mike who brought his racing gear after a long days work, Denny - the Latin dancer/ teacher who drove so far & danced patiently with people like ME !  and our distinguished author who drove all the way from Altamonte Springs . | |

Posted: 3/15/2011 6:21:16 AM | Thanks folks ! Our photographer felt ill & had to leave, I did the best I could. I'm sorry if I missed anyone. If some appear in multiple pics it was because they had multiple interests...I think some had food for their hobby & kept disappearing to the lobby. I wasn't being snobby ( groan ) ...lol- just a lot of shoes to fill. I can't blame you for spending time out there - Steven's cake was magnificent, Nancy's brownies melted in your mouth, the shamrock cookies were cute, the fruit was ripened to perfection....etc.

Got to admit - having a scavenger hunt in my house & borrowing from relatives was kind of fun...Not being allowed to spend money presents a unique challenge.....clipping photos from magazine & calendars, etc...It helps that to be sentimental, even tho' there is criticism....but where do you think they go when they want something ? : ) ....
That was my scientific Dad's microscope & my bro's LTD edtition print of his painting of downtown Lakeland on the Science table( including history - as Social Science )...There was sports stuff left from dating a sports/ writer editor a few yrs. ago......Creating the "bird tree" from a stick & items pulled off Christmas ornaments & off my spring wreath is as creative as it gets for me...lol...You would have enjoyed the little details - like the cat pic eyeing that bird tree...the IRISH setter...& the "Sports Nuts" ( bags of unopened peanuts see next to the "Fans ).....
I was too busy jogging from one role to another & trying to dance in between to know how people enjoyed it, but have gotten many positive notes....Wheels are turning for the next one...Sure hope you can make it by late spring | |
