| | Changed my City Location, but matching is stuck on old city...Page 1 of 1 | Basically my problem is exactly like my titles says:
I changed my location to a new city where I moved, but now matter how may times I update it will not change the meet me section or 'search near you' feature (or any feature involving my location) to match my new city. It thinks I am still in my old city, despite having the new city listed under my profile.
Any tips or advice? Thanks | |

I don't get something. The owner of POF, I heard, is making like a million dollars from this site every two months. So why can't he hire programmers to fix all the bugs on this site? | |

Why does he need programers to fix anything when he is already making millions of dollars?
Also do not confuse what someone makes with how much they bring in, as they are two very different numbers. | |

I have updated my postcode but nothing works.
Will have to delete my profile if this is not sorted. Other free dating sites have had no issues when I have updated my location.

Go to your my matches and click on "refine matches".
I am very disappointed with POF I have a news flash for ya. If you are depending on POF to find you "matches" you are going to be disappointed anyway. Why you can possibly think POF can pick matches better then you can is beyond me for sure.
I highly recommend that you take charge of your quest and use the Advanced Search here that provides far far better selection criteria.
I want cute fun slender gals. POF just has no clue what to match me with and I would be foolish to pretend they did. I can select the women to contact here FAR better then any computer program.

UK postcodes seem to be a real nuisance with whatever distance algorithm is being on this site unfortunately.
Pixie....I see you're in the UK and yes, they are a problem. Below is the link to Royal Mail which I found some time ago on a FAQ thread regarding such. I hope it helps.

Posted: 9/29/2012 6:51:06 PM | Log out of POF. Do a complete cleanup. Delete cookies, temporary files, stored pages, etc. Sign back in, then run through each menu item and enter the correct distance, age, etc.
Zip/Postal Code and Country are the only fields that matter. City/State have no meaning.
