On topic: Different women are drawn to different kinds of men, for a variety of different reasons....it's both wrong and inaccurate to make a generalization like the OP does. | |

Most geeks, wholesome, or ugly guys are thinkers or at least prefer to treat the ladies they way the ladies want to be treated and not how they guys think the women want to be treated.

i'm not sure what i'm saying...seeing as how i can find an attractive quality in anybody. but i guess we can toss out specualtion in many directions. the girl could be horribly insecure (i know i was)....or she could be a great person who sees the greatness in others (those geeks still have souls, ya know)....or she's going the exact opposite of the last pr!ck she was with (because we know all good looking guys are ***holes *eyeroll*)...or they are so incredibly compatible that it would be just flat out ridiculous to look elsewhere. and, from my experience, the less physically attractive of the male species are more willing to transform themselves. with some patience, love, attention and a bank account....you can make anyone's outsides match their innards.... | |

There are a lot of good-looking women who are attracted to intelligence and how they are treated, as well as the kind of person that so-called "Geek" is. It does not necessarily have anything to do with their having money or not. That you would automatically assume a good-looking woman was only with someone who was not a "GQ Model" because of money is an excellent sign as to why you are "desperate and dateless". Shallow is as shallow does and your depth is less than an inch - happy hunting! | |

Posted: 7/21/2005 12:45:16 PM | trust me....it takes getting to a certain level of geekdom to have a decent bank account. i married a dork (much prefer this term...for some reason) with an amazing knack for computers. he made more money as an infantryman in the army.
and the reason you'd see us walking together in the mall....was partly my insecurity and doubt in finding my perfect match....and because he hadn't yet been tainted. i don't need to be the one to point out the ridiculousness of the generalization. maybe the girl blossomed under his love and affection. or maybe she beat him into ugly submission. who knows? either way...stop staring....it's rude. | |
