Despite the jazz station being gone from Columbus for the second time in 3 decades; with quite a large gap in between ... does anyone else like jazz? Where in the Columbus area do you go to get your fix on it? What genre of jazz do you enjoy the most? Do you know of any good jazz gigs coming to Columbus or nearby?

Thanks,
Jazzinwine

Well, I'm not in Colubus, but I do enjoy listening to some good Jazz music. It's especially good to listen to live and just chill.

Hi,

Toronto, Canada has a great jazz radio station - jazzFM
91.1 on the FM dial - they do have an online music too.
Playing really great selections - very innovative programs too.

Miss them very much since moving to West Coast.
I listen to jazz standards by all the greats. As for contemporary: Michael Brecker, Joe Lovano, Roy Hargrove, Patricia Barbara, Jane Monheit, Cassandr Wilson, many others too.

Miles Davis before he got too weird. John Coltrane.
Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald.

You can get great music on internet "radio" stations, no problem.

Buddy Rich. One of my favorite jazz musicians, along with John Coltrane and Charlie Parker.
