To quote a passage like below, in other words, to Highlight a passage:
I want this passage quoted / highlighted
Simply type the following
[qoute] I want this passage quoted / highlighted [/qoute]
But please - > Spell quote properly, ....and it works as seen in the result below:
I want this passage quoted / highlighted
(To include text, see: How to copy/paste)
Remember to close the tag with a slash / preceding the word /quote
And use these - [ ]= open tag [/]= close tag brackets - no spaces
quote, italic, bold, and underline (only in edit); are the only tags available to members.
Do NOT use any tags, other than those posted here

(b)whatever text you want bolded goes here(/b)
Use the letter b inside these [] [/] brackets in place of () (/), ....and it works
(i)whatever text you want italicised goes here(/i)
Use the letter i inside these [] [/] brackets in place of () (/), ....and it works
(u)whatever text you want underlined goes here(/u)
underline must be entered in "Edit" mode, after you post, and it uses different <> brackets
UNDERLINE is not available at the moment
Use the letter u inside these <> brackets in place of () (/), ...and it works
You can also use edit mode to fix mistakes in the tags.
Remember:
Use these [] <> to open the "tag" and close with a slash (in front of the letter) [/] to close the tag
(u)(b)(i)To Combine Tags(/i)(/b)(/u)
For this to work, you must close the tag in the reverse order you opened it with (add underline tag in "edit")
What if I want to quote a reply that includes a block quote already?
When you copy a reply to a block quote, all you copy is text because the HTML tags are hidden
But, you can accomplish this by, "Nesting" block quotes:
[qoute]How do I nest quotes?
[qoute]Like this, just spell quote properly, ...and it works!. Please note the two opening tag positions, and the two closing tags in a row at the end.[/qoute][/qoute]
These tags will work in forum posts, and POF mail messages
