Dark knight rides to battle
Sword drawn armor gleaming in moonlight
Night and day he rode and fought
None scratch his gleaming armor
In his mind is beauty and wonder
Of a life he cannot lead
Girl with hair of earth
she with eyes of paradise sky
Death descends apon his heart
never unchained by his maiden
she lived with the key sealed
wishing to have someone at his side
he dies in a field of red
never to be free of his armor | |
