The first couple of lines of your profile show up in searches and e-mails, so thats your place to be clever. Also, make sure your main pic shows up well as a thumbnail. Any moderately attractive woman on here is going to get a dozen e-mail a day, so work it like hyper speed dating or something.....
Not that I have any luck here myself, but the above are common "errors" most of the regular profile reviewers would probably point out. | |

There are certain rules about blind internet dates, such as meeting in public, in a well-lit place, etc. Suggesting something that breaks these rules may put some women on edge, no matter how sweet your intentions. Long walks alone on a beach at midnight <- warning. Also, the need to be the confident leader with anwers is especially important for you. Women are very visual creatures; take advantage of this and give them something to fantasize about. She'll picture what you're wearing based on your pictures, and your voice from your writing style. If your first date is, let's say dinner, describe the meal, the conversation, the environment, etc. Let her literally taste the food while she's reading your profile. Make it sound like a page from a romance novel, with y'all as the heroes, and she's yours.

You mention some interesting things about yourself which again, is good, although you may want to expand on them some, such as what type of cooking or particular dishes you've been working on. You mention travel as one of your interests...where are some of the places you've been? What did you do there? Do you have a favorite destination you've been to so far? What movies do you like? What soccer and hockey teams do you follow?
What are your initial contact messages to women like? I'm wondering if maybe there's something there that might inadvertantly be causing an issue. You can message me if you don't want to say publicly. | |

Posted: 1/4/2012 5:54:46 PM | Thanks for taking the time, I took your advice on the pic. As for the messages, I can admit they are not the most exciting reads and can come off quite bland, but I was never one to express myself with written words, I just feel my personality does not come out.
I feel its difficult to write a message without coming off as desparate or creepy or even pushy. But I know that its imperative to have a good first message otherwise you wont get the traffic flowing to your profile. | |

Posted: 1/4/2012 6:52:16 PM | Big: I found the biggest factor is photos/appearance so if you are not getting your foot in the door like you like, then improve that. Nicer clothes, pose, environment may help, see a pro photographer.
Small:
username = boring; Try something fun
Headline = lame; Try something funny
That first quote = confused; If you want to put a quote put a REAL/INSPIRATIONAL/POPULAR/FUN/ or FUNNY quote and dont be lazy, find out who said it. Better yet put a semi-rediculous/fun/funny quote you made yourself.
"Hi Ladies" = I'm a perv; Delete all "ladies"
"man seeking a woman" = DUH! Your profile is a lil on the long side, if you fill it with redundant/repeats them you will seem boring/lame. You need to find a FEW unique words to describe yourself not the whole friking good-person dictionary.
Age reductions 33 - 38 = I'm an idiot. Lol jk. Was your inbox out of control full with ppl 18-32? Or 39-99? I dont think so. You are 39!!! What's wrong with a 39!!!, 40, 41 female?
Last but not least, be a real dad. Stop spending your time on online dating and use it on your children. Take your children with you on all your wonderful date ideas and your interest. And you probably have a better chance finding women when you become a real dad. | |
