Did you forget to lock your luggage before you set it out? How many people can afford luggage that accepts more than a 5 cent lock?

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 1/17/2012 7:51:46 PM | | Who can't, if your going on a cruise i'd guess your income can't be that bad. | |
|
| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 1/21/2012 4:13:04 AM | Shop for luggage that will take real locks...you won't find them at most stores. Maybe Numerous Markups but I bet it is still special order. Oh and I didn't get busted for anything, I just imagined the possibilities when they told us to leave our luggage in the hallway and we will meet it again when we and it goes thru customs. (on airplanes they ask if anyone has had access to your luggage, take it from you, and keep it on camera the whole way. I feel comfortable with that.) ' | |

One problem with cruises is that the first day they tell you that if you are a guy you are the last on the list for the life boats. Surprisingly, women passengers and women staff actually had higher survival rates on the Titanic than children. 3rd class kids were really ****ed...over They still do that, it IS part of maritime law....but the Italian captain broke another rule specific to commanding staff, so he sits in jail waiting trial

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 1/30/2012 11:31:08 AM | Besides the boat sinking, I've heard that a major problem with cruises is that one eats way too much!! | |
|
| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 2/2/2012 1:37:48 PM | | I would be checking the air circulation systems to ensure that the air is filtered to weed out viruses etc. - one does NOT want to return from a vacation with a bad cold or flu, much less something like legionaire's disease!! | |

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 7/1/2012 5:13:55 PM | | I take cruises all the time and have never been told that I get on the lifeboat last but,,, thats just the way it is supposed to be,, women and kids first. As far as the luggage issue there is a simple solution. You do not have to put your luggage out as long as you can take it yourself,,, and if you take it yourself you can get off the boat at first call,, not wait until your floor or color is called. If you have a flight waiting you can get off an hour earlier than waiting for them to call your color. They dont tell you this, this is learned from experience. As far as the drugs stowed in clients bags,, in many cruises I have never heard of this happening. The biggest problem for me is eating too much. In about 25 cruises I have made myself sick in the tummy 3 or 4 times,,,, not much fun when there is so much to do. I usually go on the singles cruises which are better in that you are with a group of singles instead of being alone. Going all alone and not knowing anyone exept the folks they sit you with at the table can be very lonesome even on a ship of 2-3000 other folks unless you are a social butterfly. KF | |

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 7/3/2012 2:28:20 AM | | Just never take those cruise with stops here for a day and there for a day, and you have to change ships 6 different times at least, unload and load your personal belongings each time, ahhh...Do not be to cheap with the cruises, like me,lol... | |

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 7/22/2012 3:56:31 PM | | now, why would I want to put perfectly good drugs into somebody else's luggage?! (lol) | |

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 8/7/2012 2:12:39 PM | When i went on a crusie with my boyfriend a few years ago he told me to put the booz in a mouth wash bottle. I could care less about drinking but he said he would drink my mouth wash if i did not want it. I have been on 5 crusies and i have never done that before. I could have fun without the booz . Some people can not and drinking on the ship adds to the bill. It was not a singles cruise ................................. You do not have to gain weight on a crusie . If you never use the elevator and use the stairs. Work out in the gym once a day for a least a hr. Go dancing at night after dinner. TRy everything just do not eat it all . A spoon ful here and there is good enough . There are all kinds of ways to burn calories LOL on ship so there is no excuse to put on the weight.
I see alot of do not distrub signs on the doors LOL I love taking cruises just have to find the right partner to go with so you have a great time

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 8/9/2012 9:27:44 AM | | TexasNightOwl, it looks like you really hate Cruises. I personally can't wait for mine. I'm going to the Bahamas. | |

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 8/19/2012 10:12:25 PM | | I like your attitude, redfish78. If you go with the flow and join in on the rec stuff, you'll have fun! It's nice not having to worry about transportation, just be aware that some of the cruise lines are paid to direct you to certain places that you might not enjoy (restaurants and bars). Be your own captain when you can. | |
|
| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 8/24/2012 2:46:44 PM | On Carnival ships you can bring in one unopened bottle of liquor or wine in your luggage. You can also buy one bottle and bring it on at any port of call.
NO ONE jacks with your luggage while on a cruise. That's daft. If the staff has drugs.....why waste em on you? And if other passengers has smuggled some on board, they don't need to put it in your luggage...as they already got it on board.
The only problem I have with cruises is I can only take one a year. :-(

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 9/18/2012 11:05:08 AM | | Anybody ever tried a Freighter cruise ? I researched it and it sounds very interessting, cheaper and different than your usual cruise lines,.. I plan on going on one of those some day,...a long one 30 days or more which involves crossing the ocean. | |

| The Problem With Cruises Posted: 2/26/2013 5:51:35 AM | | And this is why I'd never work on a cruise ship. I couldn't deal with annoying passengers, complaining about the tiniest things. I'll stick to the actual merchant navy, and not waste of space ships used for people to waste their money and cause problems. | |
