| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 1/6/2012 6:07:12 PM | I draw, paint, make ornaments out of clay. It is a therapy of sorts for me. I find I am surprised when I go away from what I do for a while and look at it later with fresh eyes. I painted some figures for my fence this Christmas. When they were done I couldn't believe I did those myself. I like to do what I call kaleidoscope drawings. I just sit and draw different shapes, images, whatever comes to mind. Everything interconnects and fills the entire page. Even though I drew it, I find new things in them, new connections. | |

| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 1/9/2012 1:09:12 PM | | I like to mostly draw with charcoal pencils but sometimes I like to use pastel on black paper. I have a gallery on star-portraitsdotcom with celebrity drawings. Lately I've been inspired to work with clay. It's fun. | |

| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 1/9/2012 4:01:13 PM | Not trying to sound****, but I'm pretty good at all mediums. When I was in college, I pretty much too all types of art classes, literally all types. From sculpture, to printmaking, to graphic design, to wheel forming...done it all. I'm really passionate about art as well as competitive. Graphic design is my major, but when I'd take illustration or ceramic classes for example, I'd compete with the the illustration or ceramic majors. I'd do very well and mostly received 'A's.'
My ratings: drawing: very good illustration: good graphic design: very good/excellent ceramics/wheel forming/hand building: very good intaglio: good/ very good sculpture: good(didn't like this class honestly) b/w photography: ok/good (most challenging of all art mediums) screen printing: very good/excellent lithography: good/ very good painting: very good conceptualization: excellent
I love art. It's what makes me, 'me'

| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 1/12/2012 12:23:56 PM | I still make some jewellry, Silver smithing mainly. I also do water color paintings for illustration and have taken a liking to Japanese brush and India ink (most success with birds and fish). In April I am attending an outdoor show so I'm gearing up for that by doing hiking/camping related things including/incorporating decorative and elaborate but functional cord work. Some one mentioned here that it's difficult at this time to earn a buck doing this... I have likened it to an effective diet. Since being my own boss I am looking more svelte as time goes by.
I'd post pictures but I am hopelessly inept with the process

| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 1/12/2012 12:49:54 PM | I've lost passion for art. It's a brainf*ck. It's become something I do to drown out the noise. Something out of pure boredom People are impressed if you have skills and mostly ask you to do some picture they have in mind. I've come to realise it isn't some "devine gift"...it's a skill that can be learned. People give up trying to paint kor draw at a very early age. | |

| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 1/14/2012 12:51:29 AM | I draw. I never used to like black and white but I am quite fond of them now. Am trying my hand at painting and love acrylic compared to oil or watercolour. Also am trying to do some beading and other stuff with sewing like crazy quilting. | |

| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 1/19/2012 6:30:00 PM | | I do various things - drawing, painting, pyrography, card making, writing, photography. Still looking to branch out to other things too! Not sure how you define 'good' in art as it's so subjective. I have some people who like what I do, and others who aren't keen. It's all down to personal taste so I don't mind. | |

| Draw? Paint? Sculpture? Other? Posted: 3/1/2012 7:01:53 AM | Thas cool . . . I'm an Artist that also likes thumpig away on Bass guitars. I'm actually considering building one just for the fun of it - I'd probably go with a transparent finish though, I'm kind of inclined to use some heavy exotic woods for the body. | |

I'd rate myself as an amateur :)
