| | Tattoos Button On ProfilePage 1 of 1 | | With so many people having body art nowadays, yet it not being to everyone's preference on a potential suitor or match, wouldn't it be a good idea to put a Tattoos button on a profile? Make it either a 'Yes' or 'No' answer or 'Number of Tattoos' option. | |

Then next you will be asking:
Sterilized ... yes/no? Implants ... yes/no? Piercings ... yes/no?

| Tattoos Button On Profile Posted: 2/8/2012 7:50:34 PM | Being a heavily tattooed female myself (no piercings), I find this a very valid option to state on the profile. I would also like to know if a person is anti-tattoo so that I don't bother addressing them and wasting time for either of us.
Heck, I wouldn't mind knowing if someone has been neutered, either. LOL!!

And heck yea, the "neutering" wouldn't be that bad either. Could always have the "prefer not to answer" option.

Im of two minds on this. 1/ Agreed that some people are adverse to any form of body art ( except pierced ears maybe.) 2/ People who are heavily tattood or pierced often show them off in their photos anyway, so someone looking and doesn't like may simply move on.
I think its better than asking what pets you have and eye colour.

| Tattoos Button On Profile Posted: 2/10/2012 4:18:19 PM | While I understand why people would want a means of determining who has tattoos, I feel that putting a "tattoo button" on profiles would be a slippery slope. Where would it stop? Do you own or rent? Do you have piercings? What kind of music do you listen to? There wouldn't be any room for descriptions or photos!
If you have tattoos and want others to know about it, post photos of them.
If you want to meet people with tattoos, state so in your profile.

I'm in agreement with the OP. I wouldn't really care how many tats a chick has because one is enough for me to not consider dating her, no matter where it's at or how big or small it is. Putting aside page views, clicks, etc, a tattoo filter would be much more useful than something like eye and hair color. I know there are those that love "blue eyes" and those that bleach and dye their hair but you can see these things in a thumbnail instantly. You can't see tats like that. You have to click the profile, check out the pics, look at the interests, and read through it and when you see that thing you don't like: "I have a tattoo(s)," "I like guys with tattoos," "I like tattoos," etc, that's when you can click the back button. And sometimes you don't know if she has any unless you ask. Tattooed people are under the assumption that it doesn't and shouldn't matter if they have any when dating. Yeah, it matters. OP's suggestion is about saving time. Better, more relevant filters would make this site great but as it is, you have to click around a lot and hope for someone compatible and even then you might not find that right away. I know it's all about money but I'd also like to think that the number of successful relationships and time saved trying to find one would matter.

I myself am completely turned off by excessive tattoos and piercings, and think this would be a GREAT idea. Big Fish could take away the "Do You Have A Car" or "Pets" and replace it with something that I, and I'm sure a number of others would find much more useful.
Whether or not a guy rents his home or what kind of music he listens to would have little to no impact on whether or not I found him physically appealing. Call me shallow, but if I'm not attracted on a physical level I'm NOT going to date him.
I KNOW I couldn't be intimately involved with someone with lots of body "art". This is MY personal preference so please don't bash me, and I mean no offense to those who may fit the description.
I do address it in my profile, and have received only 1 rather nasty email so far. Boggles my mind how random strangers react to other strangers preferences.
*shrugs*
This would be a welcome add in my opinion and much more useful than some others.
