| Why do women ask..."Do I look fat in this?" Posted: 7/24/2005 11:21:19 PM | I was making a joke in one of the other threads about this subject and it occured to me that I've never asked a man the question...."Do I look fat in this?"
It's just something that never occured to me to ask. I guess it's cuz I really don't care if I look like a cow in something I'm wearing. If people don't like the way I look, they don't have to look at me!
I'm just wondering why women ask that? Ladies, you have any answers for me on that one?

| Why do women ask...Do I look fat in this? Posted: 7/24/2005 11:45:37 PM | | With my luck, I have encountered women who are looking for a good fight or discussion. If I say they look fat, they will deprive me of everything. You know what I mean. If I answer the question no you do not look fat, they will call me a liar and fight anyway. I always tell my new women, never ask me that trick question. | |

| Why do women ask...Do I look fat in this? Posted: 7/25/2005 5:03:48 AM | 1) well they know their man wants them to get admiring glances off / and be chatted up by other men, so they are doing it out of love.
b) The know their man hates lying so they do it to try and break his ego
c) They are in a argumentative mood and want him ro be truthfil so they can go off on one!
d) they know rhat whatever the guy gives rhey cab get upset at - then whilst he's trying to console her, she can persuade him to say yes to something that in a nonth of sundays he would never agree to buy/do/visit/agree on
feminine wiles
there is never a right answer, just remember to stay alert!!

| Why do women ask...Do I look fat in this? Posted: 7/25/2005 5:09:43 AM | Its reassurance. They are having doubts or are seeking a compliment. Once in a while is ok, but if its all the time it becomes a pain...i dont do it myself. I try not to ask a guy's opinion on how I look. a) cause I know, bless his heart, he [ hopefully] wouldnt tell me if I looked bad anway and b) he probably wouldnt care that much on the size of my derriere to the same point I do. Hopefully he will say I look nice, I get a compliment, return the favour and we are on our way. I trust my own judgement, or that of a girlfriend if I want brutal honesty
I mean really, how does a girl expect the guy to respond. He has to say no, Imagine if he said yes....lmao...Nuclear meltdown....run for cover................

| Why do women ask...Do I look fat in this? Posted: 7/25/2005 5:11:14 AM | I have never asked a man if I look fat in this. Instead, I ask them "Am I not the most beautiful creature that you have ever laid eyes on?" | |

| Why do women ask...Do I look fat in this? Posted: 7/25/2005 5:15:57 AM | | I have never asked that question. If my clothes start to fit a little tight then I know it's my fault and get back on track with my diet and exercise. | |

| Why do women ask...Do I look fat in this? Posted: 7/25/2005 5:18:50 AM | Honestly, I am not sure why women ask this. If ya looked fat in the dressing room with it on, buy it, then go home and annoy your other with stupid questions? Another thing is why ask your man, he probabley thinks his hunting boots go good with everything in his closet.

ROFL, I have hunting boots... Who are you to say that my hunting boots dont go good with everything? Did God make you the world opinion on how to dress? I don't think so. Me and a majority of people within a 500 yard radius agree that my boots are the fashion statement of the century. Ok, i'm just kidding. I like wearing kilts without underwear. That's the best way to go.

| Why do women ask...Do I look fat in this? Posted: 7/25/2005 5:34:09 AM | IMO This must be the most dangerous question a woman ever asked a man.
Most Japanese males are comfortable in beat up old jeans, a dirty(soy sauce and sushi stains mandatory) t-shirt with a Jack Daniels logo on it and ragged flipflops on their days off (at work it's grey, navy or black suits with appropriate ties). This is echoed by the fact that we have a 60 storey shopping mall in Tokyo with 40 floors devoted to women's fashions, 15 floors devoted to electronic goodies DIY stuff, books, magazines, CD's and DVD's, 3 floors devoted to restaurants and only 2 floors devoted to men's fashions.
