Hartington - Biggin- Wolfscote Dale ********************************************************

WALK DETAILS
Length: 6 miles approx.
Start/Finish: The Devonshire Arms, Hartington SK17 0AL
Assemble: park up at the car park just outside the village on the Warslow road and assemble outside the pub area, or village green.
Terrain: Hilly in places, woodland, gorge, steep incline, rocky, moorland - bit of everything.
Meet up 10.30 for an 11am set off - normally lasts about 5 hours in total ********************************************************
 
******************************************************** I'm taking a break on this walk and instead my good friend Ianacount will be leading it and I will just be one of the crowd !
As it's going to be April Fool's Day I thought we should mark the day and make it a bit more fun by wearing a daft hat !
Not only that but this time last year was when Chris met Brian ( friend of Ian ) on our Dovedale walk, and fell madly in love. At Christmas they got engaged and are planning their wedding. See POF meets do work - you never know where when and who you're going to meet at them.

Posted: 3/18/2012 5:42:54 AM | well after going on the last walk ive found out the people who came along were totaly genuine and everybody who turned up had a wonderful day out in the fresh air, and everybody seemed to get on realy well, if your looking to meet some and see who they are for themselfs this is one of the best meets to come along to as you meet the person for who they are and not dolled up to the eye ball and incoxicated in alcohol, and you never know you may even enjoy a change from the hussle and bussle of everyday life too | |

I take the opposite view and try to put as much space between me and the group but because of my lack of knowledge in the areas they walk in they always catch me up and torture me with there constant jibber jabber for hour after hour after hour.    | |

I'm really excited about this walk, just because I've no idea where we're going !!
I do believe we've a couple of 'pit stops' along the way, so we'll accommodate the facilities if that's alright with you lot?
I'll start doing the weather check soon... and guess what..? it'll be Spring !! lambs, daffodils.. leaves on trees !!! | |

It will be wonderful if we have anything like the weather we've been having the past few days..... the sap is rising indeed ! Clocks go FORWARDS tonight folks - Sat 24th - which means come 8am it'll already be 9am.. ( took me years to work it all out )

I am travelling from Northenden so should be able to give you a lift on Sunday morning. Sorry to not post earlier, only just logged on to have a look today. I will confirm tomorrow. I am looking forward to the walk as was not able to make the postponed one last time. I am sure the weather will hold out. Not sure about the 'silly' hat!!!!

weather's NOT GOING TO BE AS HOT AS THIS - but it won't be cold either - about 12 degrees.. | |
