By pop punk, I mean bands like OWTH, dillinger four, the ergs, joyce manor, etc. And screamo, currently I am into shook ones, touche amore, punch, loma prieta. Its just difficult to find people that are into those type of bands on these sites | |

I love pop punk and screamo. I havent heard any of the bands yo have listed but I listen to Breathe Carolina, Alesana, A Skylit Drive...stuff like that. Sleeping with Sirens is another favorite of mine! | |

Most of those are post-hardcore/hardcore as opposed to pop punk/screamo, but
hopefully they're new to you and you enjoy'em.
If I remember correctly I use to love a screamo band called Saetia or something like that, they were pretty legit. | |

When I hear the term pop punk I immediately think of The Ramones, The Descendents, Screeching Weasel, The Buzzcocks, shit along those lines. When I hear the term screamo I thin of that San Diego shit from the 90s that my buddy showed me that sounded like powerviolence. When I think emo, I think of Rites of Spring, Embrace and to a lesser extent, late Minor Threat and Fugazi. Love that early DC emo. | |

I never really thought of the ramones as pop punk , more the founding fathers of the new york punk movment along with new york dolls Patti Smith, .
Bands like the stranglers , buzzcocks iggy pop being more pop punk more commercial
