It has nothing to do with your height or body type. In both of your photos, you are scowling and you certainly do look mean. A grouchy face looks mean and uninviting whether you are 5' or 7'. Who wants to go out with someone who is glaring at them? Dating is supposed to be fun!

Bending yourself into a pretzel to lull her into a false sense of security can have three different outcomes -- ALL are bad.
She will be fooled -- she will like it -- she will be disappointed when your deception is exposed. She will be fooled -- she won't like it -- your guile comes to nothing. She won't be fooled -- she won't like it -- she will resent your transparent phoniness.
Being straightforward on the other hand:
She wont like it -- too bad. She will like it -- you are on to something.

Now that I have that off my proverbial chest --
SMILE, make sure your body language is open, make eye contact (but don't stare), lean in slightly --- and most importantly relax - if you are relaxed, she will be too...

And, yes, that crotch picture is odd. Get rid of it and replace it with one where you're smiling (crotch not required).

If you're at ease, she'll be at ease. Relax, smile and be sincere... all else should fall into place. That's it right there!
And be laid back - like in the crotch picture.

seriously, be even keel, friendly and natural; the more at ease you are the more comfortable she will be.
Good luck. | |

I read your profile and I felt like you wrote what you think a woman wants to read instead of writing what YOU feel and sharing a little bit about who YOU are.

People like to be liked. If you manage to really pay attention to what she's saying while you smile with your eyes she'll feel much more comfortable around you. Also, try to give the right signs with your body language. Don't cross your arms, don't adopt aggressive postures, etc, etc.
I found this to be a big deal in internet dating when I got a testimonial from a girl I met in PoF. She was really kind to me and helped me a lot with that recommendation, but dropped that her impression when she first saw me was a bit assertive. After that, 9 out of 10 girls who wrote me or answered my emails mentioned it with caution, as if trying to find out whether I was some kind of badass. When I changed my main picture to the current one, where one can hint my daughter next to me, the trend stopped.
