| | Blocking Users Does Not Stop ChatPage 1 of 1 | | I have blocked several users whom I do not want to have anymore contact with. That works for the messaging, but it does not stop them from attempting to contact me via chat. I do not want to turn my chat availability off because I like having that feature to talk to folks I haven't blocked. Is there any plan to add blocking chat from the same users to the feature of blocking those users from messaging us? | |

Posted: 4/21/2012 10:42:19 AM | The blocking used to have both messaging and IM tied together. For some reason they didnt implement that in the new POF IM program and now you have to block in BOTH places. You can block on the chat program also though. Its a shame they are not connected you just have to do it twice now

Posted: 4/23/2012 4:32:09 PM | The blocking feature in chat does not seem to work with some people. Any suggestions? They can be pretty persistant coming on everytime you log on, even though you have said you do not wish to continue to chat further.
I don't get why guys do that when you make it clear that you do not wish to continue. | |

Posted: 4/26/2012 4:53:02 PM | I have been exchanging messages with someone who "deleted" her profile and started over,with one in another country.
She was bombarded with chat requests.
In hopes of finding a local "catch", I have not gone that far, YET.
But, I set my chat so that only my favorites may try to chat with me.
That's under "edit profile" -> "mail settings", if I remember correctly.
I find the "Meet me" feature annoying because people with whom I have nothing in common,
who probably are not compatible, contact me, just from my photo.
I have been on "Hot or Not" and at least there was a bit of a profile summary on their 'Meet Me". | |
