So far I have attended 4 singles nights all of which have been in the city centre.
I have enjoyed them immensily and feel they are are a great excuse ( not that one is needed) and a great way for single people to meet up !!! Safety in numbers lol :) It has been suggested to me by some friends to try and organise my own so I have decided to throw my hand at organising one myself outside the city center, while town is very convienent for most it sometimes doesnt suit everyone, so here goes my proposal!!!!
Venue: The Old Boro Public House
Swords Village.
County Dublin
Time : 8.00 pm
Cost €10
I have organised a DJ from 9.00pm.
Finger food and nibbles to quench the thirst .
Late Bar on Friday serving until 2.00am :)
Discounted Accommodation Rates in The Hawthorn Hotel if anyone wishes to travel.
A double room will only cost €65.00 euro per night.
There is a substantial list of drinks promotions available for the pof attendants on the night.
If travelling to and from Swords is an issue an arrangement has been made through the bar for taxis with a discounted rate for pof members attending the singles night.
I have also enlisted a few volunteers to help me on the night, their shall be 4 hostesses assisting me, making everyone confortable and ensuring people are not left on their own , espically for those brave souls who attend unaccompanied :)
I am very open to ideas or suggestions from anyone who wishes to attend, in fact I would appreciate opinions and suggestions, please feel free to mail me , as this will help me to ensure a really great successfull night for everyone, after all its a night for all of us to enjoy and hopefully meet that someone special :)
After my previous experiences at singles nights I have no doubt that this will be a perfect venue for us all to meet up in , the back bar section has been completly reserved for us singletons, and theirs plenty of room for dancing after a few nerve busting drinks and plenty of comfortable tables to mix and mingle and have crazy first time chats !!!
While this is a pof singles night please feel free to bring your friends for support or just to get you started on the right note, the more the merrier :) I think thats about it for now so finger crossed and hopefully see you on the night :) xoxox

If i quote the singles night will the discount be applied straight away or is their someone I should ask for ???

Maybe you should resend that email with the date attached. It just took me a few mins to find out what day it was on ;-) just so there's is no confusion about the date of the event. Fair play to you by the way for organising it, I will defo be going to one of these nights soon, it seems like the right way to meet new people and generally have a great night out .

Posted: 5/22/2012 4:13:43 AM | Hi I have had quite a few e mails in relation to accommodation in The Hawthorn Hotel, just so you are made aware its filling up pretty fast , so get your booking in now if you are travelling :) Also enquiries In relation to accessing the private area, the access point will be through the beer garden as you walk in through the main double gates !!! You will see posters advertising it !!!! Ohhhhhhh the nerves :) Looking forward to friday !!! Anna
Oh and One last point , if people wish to avail of the 25 percent off their taxi fares home later that evening, you must request one from one of your 4 hostessess , and obviously wait for the cab to come :) cheers | |
