calvin and hobbes was the absolute best. why did bill watterson retire? it was funny and very witty and intelligent. everyone remembers and loves the snow cartoons. you can see them on this link

Calvin & Hobbes was a riot - love it still. Bloom County was great too. I loved Opus the penguin.

Calvin and Hobbes was a masterpiece of art, and writing. Witty, intelligent, educational and the spaghetti incident. Who couldn't wish for the days of being a kid again!

Far Side, another laugh of genius, poking fun at us in one panel. And also how animals get the better of us every day.

Phantom, BC, Garfield and Hagar also gain a distinction, but never had the depth or longevity of consistent humour for me.
