You didn't say if you had ever met this girl in person. Therefore, it's hard to gauge how she might have taken it. I feel for you. I've done a few incredibly idiotic things like that, trying to be funny when I was over-excited, and embarrassed myself to the point where I wasn't sure I shouldn't leave the planet altogether. I've never found a way to recover comfortably, so I just chalk it up to being another "L.E." (Learning Experience) and carry on with my head down for a while. If you have a chance, just tell her that you felt silly and then just talk to her "normally". Sometimes people make more of a big deal out of something than it is. I'd just acknowledge it, then blow it off.
