| | Weird Response from Female?Page 1 of 1 | | I have been using plenty of fish successfully for some time now, has given me 2 year or more relationships. Currently single and looking so I am sending out messages and...I got a "strange" response. So I am not an overtly sexual male like many, definitely important to me but not so much that I am like a raving mad sex addict type or whatever. So most guys would love to get this response, me...not so much. Sent a personalized first message to a female, got the response "Do you have a big****nerd?" I replied "Well I am not here to meet people who are obsessed with sex so I must bid you good day" and proceeded to block her. Is this a strange response to receive from a first message? And was I over reacting a bit by blocking this user? Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me as I was very confused and honestly quite offended by this message I received. | |

He did it to keep her from responding something insulting.
I've gotten weirdos messaging me disrespectful shit and they got an equally insulting response and then BLOCKED. It keeps them in check about how to send out messages to people who sometimes just leave it alone. Big mistake. They just message you again until you block them for sure. | |

Google Image search the URL
If the pic's fake it'll show up on other sites. This isn't full proof, but it works well. | |

You want what you want, and you're looking for something you want. Not everyone has common sense or a sense of decorum. Most of the people I hang out with are pretty relaxed where sex or sexuality goes, there are a few times someone will say something that stuns me.
I try not to block people unless it's really really necessary. I don't usually find it necessary. Kudos for responding in a respectful and polite way instead of dropping to her level. Definitely bonus points for that. | |

Nah, you weren't over reacting by blocking her. I tend to block guys that give me their number on the first couple of messages or out right says they want some nookie. She wasn't someone you wanted to converse with, so you made sure it ended right there and you were a gentleman about it. | |
