| | My City FeaturePage 1 of 1 | In the My City feature I have a 20 year age span specified and yet only 2 people show up…one is from Nova Scotia and one is from Yukon Territory and both fall in the age range.
This is certainly not what happened when I had a profile on here previously. Then there were at least 2 pages of people listed under My City as I live within the mileage listed of two major cities.

Go and double check your postal code is entered correctly under 'Edit Profile' as I think that is the default from which the distance of other users is determined. Alternatively, change the postal code to the nearest main postal outlet and see if that makes a difference. | |

It's not as if there are a lot of parameters in this section other then age and distance which is driven by your postal code. | |

Why would she get matches shorter than her when she lists her height as 6 feet but not when she lists it as 7 feet? It shouldn't matter what a woman lists her height as -- she shouldn't be getting matches shorter than herself (at least not according to Markus, and I have certainly never had a match taller than whatever height I list).
Of course, Matches has been known to go berserk (including ignoring the user's preferences or even its own rules) when presented with a sample size smaller than the number of thumbnails on the Matches page, and her geographic area is VERY small... | |

That being said, if it were me, and I was slightly under 6 feet as your profile states, I'd put 5"11 or whatever your actual height is because the taller you list yourself the less people you'll get in your matches.

Posted: 6/13/2012 5:04:23 PM | There is no setting for 5' 11 1/2" and when I did have it set at 5'11" I got a lot of shorter men in the matches...I would rather have someone I can look up to (pun intended) than quantity :-) So far the 6' setting seems to be working okay.
