Windows Vista Home Basic.....What's up with it?Page 1 of 1
Ok, not by my choosing, I have Windows Vista Home Basic on my computer. Why does internet explorer keep on freezing up on it? Does anyone have any tip on how I can fix this...other than flushing it down the toilet?

Get firefox or google chrome instead, they are much better then internet explorer, but if you insist on using internet explorer try updating it to internet explorer 9.

Hey look on the bright side it could be worse you could me running Windows Me. :)

you can also start up internet explorer, click on tools, internet options, delete all history and cookies, then click the advanced tab and click the reset defaults button

Ya I would try deleteing all cookies etc and look to see if you got any add-ons those could be freezing it up as well. They slow your webpage down as is so I wouldnt even have any on. Try downloading java and flash you might be loading a page that requires an updated version and update your IE and comp updates. But ya firefox is a great new IE but usually web programmers choose that mostly because you can read the source code a lot easier and Ive heard it has a lot less holes in the program. But IE is backed by microsoft so I would stick with that and its always updated and fixed.
