Posted: 6/18/2012 1:26:08 AM | For one, I'd leave the "Defaults" section off your profile. If people spend enough time with you, they'll discover your shortcomings over time [and you, theirs] - no need to put it all out there upfront.
Second, your initial message to a girl should show that you actually read her profile. You could point out something the two of you have in common, or compliment a quality about her [not necessarily a physical one]. Good luck! | |

Many people don't even open your message, so, having attractive profile must be first thing. You seem fine nice guy, with better profile, girls who have similar quality would be interested.
As I am not a native English speaker, I don't think I should mention detail, but I can say your profile can be much better if you pay little more attention and care. For instance, saying "I am intelligent" doesn't show your intelligence. Without that phrase, showing your intelligence is the way.
I suggest you to go to profile review if you haven't tried it yet. People there are really good. | |

Once you tweak that, keep the initial email short, make a comment on something that resonated that is not obvious or at the top of their profile so you show you read it; and speak confidently... not ingratiatingly.
And don't just do the hi how are you or just the compliment; mix up a statement and a question so you open the door.

I'm one of the many can't-get-a-response-to-save-his-life johnnys , and i just don't get why. Yes you and a million other guys thats why they specifically outlawed "Gee why dont I get any replies" threads here.
Maybe it's the first message i send? Its not the message its the PICS/PROFILE that generate replies here.
You have one goofy pic wearing headphones. You have a boring profile that is made up of bullet points not even sentences and paragraphs. How interesting do you think that makes you look? Like you cant string coherent sentences together. I assume not a conversationalist for sure. Try and sound FUN and INTERESTING.
If she likes your pics/profile she will reply unless the message just sucks. If she doesnt like the pics/profile it doesnt matter WTF you write in a message. First contact message here should be 4 or 5 sentences MAX telling her BRIEFLY what you liked about her profile. Ask her ONE question so she has something EASY to reply to you with. Should take 60 seconds for an acceptable first contact message. Yes humor helps. But the message has to just not suck IF SHE LIKED YOUR PICS. See what I keep coming back to? Work on the pics my friend.
You get EIGHT pics here. USE THEM ALL! You have one goofy pic like you dont care wearing headphones. Have a friend help you and take TWENTY new pics. Inside and out. Up close and full length. Choose the best EIGHT. I cant impress upon you how important pics are here. And so many guys put so little thought and effort into the pics its crazy.
You are simply messaging women that dont find you attractive or interesting via your profile. Work on it.

An excellent point that doesn't get discussed often enough. Anyone can write "I'm intelligent", or "I have a great sense of humour", etc. That doesn't mean they are either of those things. Try showing it instead. | |

Just remember not everyone is going to reply, could be for multitude of reasons. And they're the ones missing out! :)

Ask her one or two questions based on her profile. Do not bombard her.
Don't rattle on and on about yourself.
Keep it light.
Add a touch of humour.
Don't comment on her physical attributes.

Many women consider video games as childish and thus don't want to date somebody they think he is still a kid....Also, it is all about the initial picture that gets their attention. So if you don't have a picture with a smile hurry up and make one. Also, add more than one photo. I say have at least five pictures. Those are my humble opinions.

You really think that woman are THAT interested in video games? Yes, some are. However, the majority do not want to date someone that is going to dedicate his life to gaming. You need to think about this question: If you were a women, would you want to date you?
