| | Childish people on POFPage 1 of 1 | | I received a message from a lady today that said I should change my profile picture because I would never get a date with that pic unless it was some kind of joke. The pic is of me and John Dunsworth (aka Mr Lahey) making faces at the camera. I'm flipping the bird and he's pointing at the camera. I replied that I had received a lot of messages since I changed to that picture and it wasn't her business as I wasn't interested in her. A while later I received the good old message from Markus that my pic had been reported and removed. WTF? I don't want to ID the person but am wondering if others have had this happen? | |

Lots of stupid people on here, and as the saying goes can't fix stupid! :P The lady probably is just upset she doesn't get any messgaes and she is obivious not a fan of The Trailer Park Boys :( The show must offend her..... lol

Posted: 7/3/2012 2:49:49 PM | Unfortuneally there are way too many with 'old' pics on there profile. I had a pic but they removed it saying they could not see my face. I choose not to replace it with one of my private pics. I show those only when I am comfortable to do so. Should see the childish messeges I get!
Your pic is fine, and I guess we meet all kinds here. Simply ignore those who send 'hate messeges or report them.
I am at that point. Also those who have false profiles. | |

It's not easy, because it's not even as simple as just separating the "legitimate" searchers from the serial daters, because some of the serial daters believe they ARE the legitimate searchers.
Not everyone has the same definitions, needs, sensibilities.
Trying to 'click' with someone you could actually have a relationship with--here or out in the 'real' world--is not for the faint of heart. | |

For sure that callous streak is a downside to this form of communication. Probably fed, in part, by the very human tendency to take someone else's words the wrong way sometimes. Especially when you can't hear tone/see facial expression... | |

I had all sorts of pics removed, I just kept reloading them....they gave up after a while....I had one pic of my guitar....it was reported so I put a little thumbnail pic of me onto the guitar you could barely see me,,,but they couldn't remove it anymore because there was a pic of my face within that picture.....so the joke was on them......there are some very vendictive idiots on here.... | |
