| | What is it about smiley faces in messages?Page 1 of 1 | | This is probably the dumbest question that's been asked but for a long time I've been wondering if it means anything when a girl ends a message with :). The only time I ever notice it is when I ask a girl to hang out and/or on a date. | |

Hope this helps :) | |

Women are emotional creatures by our nature so we're trying to let you know we're happy, friendly, laughing, etc.

It's in lieu of the friendly smile you'd get, had you met in person... since you can't see that across a monitor. :D

You whore. :)
See?"
I stole that from a sitcom, but it's true. It's called attaching human emotions to robotic writing, lol.

I'm a fairly cheerful person, so I smile a lot, therefore my messages contain lots of smile emoticons. I also use winks when I'm attempting to flirt. I think it's just one of those things women do that men don't. Definitely a good sign though.

They're also fun and help to liven up an informal message!!! :-D
Plus, let's face it, people who hate smileys have no soul. ;-)
