I have been on POF for about a year and have had really no luck. i was wondering if it had anything to do with my profile. I stay true to myself in it but i have been told that at first i can be fairly intimidating even though im a complete teddy bear. | |

Posted: 6/25/2012 2:14:37 AM | Hi there, i am taking a look at your profile and will give you an honest, first impression, please dont be offended if it comes off as rude! But if what you're looking for is a female, then maybe you need to put things on there that will attract one.
The problem is not your looks, you're very cute! You look like a very adventurous kinda guy, but maybe take down the shooting photo,(because a guy with a shotgun freaks a lot of women out! its scary to know a guy you may meet up with on a date can shoot...a big gun! nice biceps tho!!) the trophy photo (we don't like guys to broadcast their achievements before we get to know them...but if you are good at something and it comes up in conversation well hey! impress us!!) Try adding a few more face shots, you have great teeth, and an awesome smile. If you're serious about finding someone online, have a shower put a nice shirt on, make yourself look nice and THEN take a few snaps, choose 1! and 1 only that you like (adding the same kind of photo is a bit much... This is me looking to the left, this is me looking to the right, oh i cant talk all mine are very similar..)
Obviously you are an outdoors kinda guy, and you are looking for a girl with the same interests, but every girl likes so know a guy can scrub up well. and i bet you do!!!
Your profile is fine, you havent written anything weird, maybe the part about the desert goat city rat thing, but thats kinda cute...
Again sorry if i offended you, i hope you find someone nice! and if you want more advice its free! :)

Posted: 6/25/2012 2:21:12 AM | thanks for the input. now my question to you would be, shooting is actually a fairly big part of my life, im actualy trying to start the first shooting team at my college. And yes while i do dress up and clean up quite well if I do say so myself, the unfortunate part of this is there are really no recent pictures of this.
but again no offence taken, that was more gentle than I was expecting. | |

Im not saying you cant be yourself. There is nothing wrong with the shooting pic i guess, its just it doesnt show your face, just your big guns. ;) I dont know i just thought it might be a little intimidating, you dont often find a guy as adventurous as yourself! and you wont find a girl that is your equal on a dating site, i doubt she would even use a computer. am i right? :) | |

You look great, just make sure you crop it so its only your head and torso as the picture. people kind of get intimidated when there are a lot of people in photos... :P ohhh the sensitive world of pof! | |

Posted: 6/25/2012 7:01:45 AM | Primary pic should not have caps, bandanas, hats, sunglasses etc. Women want to see your eyes and they can't see yours.
Your profile has grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors. Run it through MS Word and correct everything. Women like to see that a guy has placed an effort into his profile. | |
