Profile critique please!!Page 1 of 1
I need critique on something that may be too much or too little in my profile. My messages are pretty good they're not "hey how are you" or physical compliments. Simply 3-5 sentences about their profile and relating an open discussion question about them. I use humor a lot in my opening lines something witty. For instance if a girl says she has a cute dog and is the number one love of her life. I'll probably say something like... "Looks like I have some pretty big paws to fill!". Anyway need some help on what can increase my chances at successful replies. I'm out of ideas!

I think you have a great profile, Atom03, and I'd have been delighted to be messaged by someone like you when I was in my early 20s ... of course, they didn't have internet dating way back then *lol* My only suggestions for your profile would be maybe including an action or outdoors shot or two; your pics are basically all the same, except different outfits. Replace a couple with something different. Shows you get out of the house now and then;) Also, you have nothing in your paragraph describing the woman you'd like to meet. What would she be like?

As for your initial messages, the use of humour and an open question is great; your example is very cute. Commenting on something in their profile that interested you, perfect. Perhaps 3-5 sentences is a bit long? 2 or 3 would suffice for a first message, otherwise it can seem too intense or even desperate, no matter how well-worded.

Other than that, I'd say just hang in there, and be patient. You have lots to offer, and the right woman will come along soon enough:)

Thank you! That was very kind. I'll try to condense my messages. I know lovely girls on here get about 5-10 messages per minute logged in! Crazy stuff. I shall work on the photos. I do have some of me out and about but they contain other females...and I don't want them to get the wrong idea. The majority of my friends are females. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks again redbird!

It's a lovely sentiment, but I'd rather have known a bit about your work and background. That's where the clues are for someone looking Long Term.

What kind of lady do you find attractive? Are you open to someone who may have a child(ren)? of any ethnicity? If a woman isn't sure what you're looking for, she's not going to feel confident sending a message.

There seems to be a heavy emphasis on certain things in your Interests field. Perhaps cut those by half.

It does sound like you're on the right track for messages, but you have so many great photos with that awesome smile it's a shame your main photo doesn't show that off.

ps - stop calling them 'females'. They're girls, women or ladies.

Good points. Well the attractiveness thing to be honest. I can be attracted to any type of woman...I've dated various types of women. As long as there's great communication and just something that physically entices me I'm good. It's hard to say because it just varies. I'm not picky to race, again it's just the attraction thing if it's there it's there. I do feel my photos can be better though I'll work on those! As for my background and my studies I'll see where I can add a teaser information on it...I like to remain those topics for conversation.

You guys rock thanks for the tips! When I have some time later I will fine polish some of the points touched down :)

Is my main profile photo a bit blurry? I just quickly took a body shot in a mirror since I don't really have an new photos of me full body. I lost a lot of weight and gained quite a bit of definition...so I haven't had any new social photos of me out at least nicely lit ones. It's it's too blurry to be attractive or at least curious enough to click on which out of the set do I currently have do you all suggest? Just working with what I currently have till I get some new fresher photos of the brand new me :)

Thanks!

What not to expect..
first and foremost I respect myself, and you so I'm not DTF. Now a days it seems so common and comes to people so easy that it loses it's specialness.

I've seem to hit a mass wall....
For about several weeks I haven't received much replies at all...except for some "thanks but no thanks" short messages. I haven't been on a date in quite awhile..and I'm really at a loss..I'm considering just not using the site for awhile and come back.

Photos 5 and 6 should leave. The writing is good.
