Any thoughts?Page 1 of 1
Been online for a couple of months now and am starting to wonder if this site is really worth while. Thought maybe if I improved my profile I might get chatting to somebody apart from the usual timewasters lol! Any suggestions welcome :)

The Headline needs to go.

Do pics of you, not your friends and family.

Never really done anything like this before but thought I'd give it a shot - sick of wasting my time with fellas who have the mental age of a child.
Unlike most women I don't tarr all men with the same brush, I am well aware that both sexes are capable of wrong doings lol!
Unnecessary, negative and is what appears in searches.

I would prefer to chat with people who have pictures
Just put it in your Mail Settings.

I won't say looks aren't important as I believe there has to be some degree of attraction to the person you're seeing. Please respect my choice to make this decision, as I respect yours. I understand that I won't be most peoples "type" so I understand if I don't hear back from you. Similarly, if I don't reply to you please don't take it bad or continue to pester me with constant messages.
Negative, unnecessary.

Don't want to know if you're arrogant or**** - please feel free to take a hike and get over yourself while you're at it :D Also really not interested if I'm the one to make all the effort and I definitely have no interest in time wasters!
Negative.

Your text needs to be positive and upbeat. Negative statements only chase away the good guys and reduce the quality of contacts.

Run spell check. Use proper English and grammar.

Delete the age setting.

Maybe remove this cause it's negative and seem non contextual...
"- sick of wasting my time with fellas who have the mental age of a child.
Unlike most women I don't tarr all men with the same brush, I am well aware that both sexes are capable of wrong doings lol! "

This part makes you seem unavailable...
"so life can be very busy at times."

I would consider getting rid of this cause it might be seen as coming from a place of low self esteem...
"Please respect my choice to make this decision, as I respect yours. I understand that I won't be most peoples "type" so I understand if I don't hear back from you. Similarly,"

Treating others as you want to be treated is not cheesy at all so you might consider erasing this...
" as cheesy as that sounds lol!"

Negativity usually isn't attractive so might want to cut or spin this in a more positive note...
"Don't want to know if you're arrogant or**** - please feel free to take a hike and get over yourself while you're at it :D Also really not interested if I'm the one to make all the effort and I definitely have no interest in time wasters!"

IMHO, Good luck!

I will lead by disclosing that I am a stickler for good English.

I did not see the original profile, but your updated profile is much better then most I look at it. (I wish more people would get help or at least read the guidelines!)

Spelling and Grammar: There are several places with missing spaces between words. Other then that, I think it's great!

Negativity: Your leading sentence is actually OK, even with that tiny bit of "Never really done anything like this before but thought I'd give it a shot." thing. You could leave that for a while, then later remove it.

Mail Settings: Remove or widen the age restriction. Leave some wiggle room for you to say "No Thanks". When you bump into that guy at the pub, you don't know how old he really is at first. If you had instructed the bouncer to not let anybody in under 27, there might that really perfect guy who has the misfortune of being 28. Or 29.

I'm not sure how that setting "Must not have messaged users looking for intimate encounters or sex" works. If I see a profile, send them a message and not notice that they were just looking for sex, am I banned for life from contacting some members?
