Why are men & women the only choices? We are a couple looking for bisexual women & couples (man & women). Why are these choices not available when creating a profile and searching for people?

Because Admin has decided not to offer that choice. And it's been suggested countless times with no changes and none expected.

YES,

I DO think there ahould be an OPEN search area, Like Google. Where you can put in a key word & it will search it out.

I have asked for it & got an electronic reply.

But Still Nothing : ( Sad

Because it would take massive changes to the software for a teeny tiny niche market here. Not financially prudent.

Couples bi's etc.. are allowed to be here as long as they can find a way to use the existing dating software without demanding changes just for them basically. Changes made in the last few years have seemed to target features that would benefit the greatest number of users here. Your request does not meet that goal. I personally can think of many many changes that would better serve the majority of this website that we would better use the very limited programming resources available.

POF has an Interests LIST: where you can enter a 'comma delimited' list of Key Words that act like an Index.

ex: couples, swingers, swappers, fmf, speling bees, pez dispensers, trekies, chess, Monet,

PS: these interest items become Links to others interested in same.
ex: listing Women as an interest will hook you up with other guys and gals interested in Women. ☺

PS2: Advanced search offers the ability to enter 1 Interest Item as a filter condition; so Geo, Age, etc..
constraints can also be applied.

Sorry if this seems tiresome but I get annoyed at the this guys tiresome continued posts whining about this. If POF does this it make a HUGE impact on their own servers resources. This site was designed to be lean to support many users.

You KNOW how to use google now right? Well THEN USE IT! You can use Googles advanced search and search just this website using your keywords. Your solution exists and YOU ALREADY KNOW how to use it.

The solution exists now. POF does not have to implement anything.

Seems to me POF already has capbilities to search a wide variety of Interests using efficient index files.

Looking a others' profile Interests Lists it appears; Many users don't seem to be aware of it's functionality.
