| | YONANAS IDEAS PLEASE :0PPage 1 of 1 | I am not vegan or vegetarian, but leaning that way...I like to be vegetarian 5-6 days out of 7, & vegan 3 days a week...for now.
Anyway, I got that machine that was the rage last year, Yonanas, it is a processor specifically for frozen fruit to make sorbets, they recommend mixing in other frozen fruits w/ frozen bananas as it gets a creamier texture that way.
I just used it the 1st time today & used 1 frozen banana w/ 1/2 c frozen blueberries, some splenda (maybe not vegan?) & some flavored DaVinci sugarfree syrup & it tasted quite yummy.
Does anyone have any ideas/recipes of different fruit combos or even fruit/vegetable combos that would taste good as a sorbet???
Thank you! | |

Also, you can google "fruit gazpacho" and use the same ingredients for a sorbet with the addition (as desired) of sweeteners.
Have fun!
I forgot to mention, granita is similar to sorbet, but made in a pan and scraped. People seem to be open to more imaginative ingredients in granitas.
I would google "granita" and try to adapt to your appliance. The Today show has featured several recipes this summer. Here is a peach/rosewater recipe:
