| | Review of my profile would be much appreciated, Thank YouPage 1 of 1 | Adventurous: go carts, miniature golf, bumper cars, amusement & water parks, hiking, walking, watching thunderstorms, on the water, around the water, fishing, camping, concerts, museums, plays.
Sporting events: watching and attending sporting events. I'm a diehatd Dallas Cowboys fan. Anyone up for a Sunday rivalry-LETS DO IT!!! I'm a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. NHRA-Funny car and John Force is the best.
Music: I like 60’s thru 90’s music but no RAP. I enjoy listening to country music. I like going to concerts. I’ve attended concerts ranging from Kiss to Journey.
I’m very easy going, laid back. I can easily switch from being adventurous to being serious. I still believe in old school romance, pulling out a chair, opening a door, holding hands in public it sounds cheesy, but the smile in return is worth 10,000 Thank You’s
I’m up to trying new things, twice if I like it.
My job is a little on the gory side, if you are interested just ask me. I’m finishing up my degree in Crime Scene Investigation. I’m a Volunteer Firefighter of 30 years. Two deployments to Iraq and a participant in the recovery operation during 9/11.
I’m very family oriented and active with my 3 children. They are all over age 18. My 2 yr old grand-daughter keeps me pretty busy with attending her gymnastics, going to the park, playground and babysitting duties.

Some guidelines on pics:
Pics need to show a variety of clothes, settings and activities, with a SMILE!
Self cell/webcam pics are always bad.
Avoid all of the following: Sunglasses, hats, kids, wedding rings, your tongue and middle finger, members of target sex (even if it is your sibling), dead animals/fish, guns, bare torso pics (prohibited), sleeveless shirts, more than one with alcohol, your friends or party scenes (if any), cluttered backgrounds and the bathroom mirror.
Get outdoors! If you have a motorcycle or a dog, do a pic with them (not of them)! Travel pics, outdoor and activity pics are great, as long as you didn't try to crop your ex out. You need at least one full-height pic showing your body type. The pics should be good quality, good lighting, have a clear image of your face including your EYES and a SMILE!
Each pic should have a creative caption, at least one of which should have a date. Try to get 3 good (head and shoulders) primary pics. Rotate the primary once a week. Use Viewed Me to track effectiveness. If anyone tells you to "use this one, not that one", all that means is that it should be one of your primary pics. Different pics will appeal to different people. Rotate them, and did I say: SMILE!
So, you say that you don't have any good pics, and don't have anyone to take them for you. Hire a professional photographer if you can, if not: Clean your cell phone lens, go out in public and ask someone to help. The cutie down the hall, the Barista at Starbucks, the lady walking her dog in the park, the guy shooting pool at the bar. Anyone. People like helping other people. You might even get a date!

Posted: 7/14/2012 3:29:56 PM | | Your profile is ok, the only thing that i find missing is the "what your looking for" I appreciate it when a guy tactfully states if he's looking for fit or slender women - lets me know my fat ass is not going to appeal to him - other women may be wondering how you feel about kids, whats important to you ??? Keep it light, with positive statements. This is just my opinion and i am sooo not an expert, but some profiles have a very welcoming aura, maybe encluding some info about your potential date will get it up to an awesome profile :) | |

Posted: 7/15/2012 10:02:03 AM | I never know what to write about myself without it coming off as needy, not enoug excitement. I'm used to writing papers for school for Criminal Justice.
I went back and added in a section on what I'm looking for in a person and elaborated on several other areas and still get 20-30 views and no messages. I send out alot of messages that go into some void area and you never get an responses yes or no, no thank you or even that i'm not their type.
Dating is alot harder than it was 10-15 yrs ago. | |

Posted: 7/15/2012 3:47:46 PM | I don't think it sounds needy, it's appealing, you have varied interests, I think it sounds like your inviting someone else in to share - Not sure if you've ever recieved roses but if you havent seen them, they are way over the top, maybe a little over whelming - if you change your mail settings to accept messages from canada i will send you some, so you can see for yourself.
You really need more women to give some input in this, cause this is one area i don't always trust my own judgement, I know what i like, but my own tastes are a little off kilter :) | |

Btw, pics with children are frowned upon on a dating site. Use to your detriment. | |

Posted: 7/15/2012 6:41:33 PM | The pic deleting process and message system is automated. It just means you had some prohibited pics that multiple people reported. The shirtless pic could have been what some of the reports were based on. I do seem to recall that the firefighter pics were very blurry, and in one your face wasn't visible (neat pic). You might have had your mask on too. Also, there are some very aggressive people on here when it comes to having pics with kids, they may have been upset enough about the kids to report the others. It takes several reports to get pics deleted. Likely some reported the shirtless, some the blurry ones, some the one of the back of your head. Likely the automated system decided which ones to delete and what message to send based on the reports. (It's highly unlikely, but possible that someone e-mailed Admin, but that is generally a M-F only thing.) Just FYI.
The standard typically applied is:
- Could you pick this person out of a police line-up.
There are women who will be very offended by both shirtless pics and pics with kids. It is best to avoid both. You will loose dates from either.
The firefighter card is worth playing, just make sure they are in focus and you're not wearing a mask.

I've been viewed about 50-60 times as well as sent out the same amount of messages. I've gotten 2 responses. I've changed my approach with sending messages, still nothing. I'm beginning to think that my pictures turn into horror photos after I upload them.....lol. I've noticed that most of the woman want a custom fit from an off the rack world. I've tried match.com, singleparentmeet, meetme.com and had the same results, zero dates or even made it to the phone or text conversation phase. | |

Posted: 7/21/2012 3:54:28 PM | How old is that primary pic? By the style of your glasses and hairstyle, the pic appears to be taken in the 80's or early 90's.
As far as dating sites go, don't solely rely on them to be your choice of meeting someone. Get out and about - join clubs, church, dance clubs, anything to get you in touch with humans in real life!
It appears you're placing just too much effort into these dating sites. Don't become a hermit or recluse. | |
