| | Increase inactivity timeout!!Page 1 of 1 | | There is nothing more annoying then typing an update to your profile and clicking submit only to have had the website log you off. You lose all your information you were submitting, not to mention the time you took to type it and it does not come up with the ability to copy and paste the info like it does when you are writing a messsage to someone. Add a pop up that asks if you still want to be logged in! | |

| Increase inactivity timeout!! Posted: 7/14/2012 5:19:18 PM | | It happens to us all but just sign in, then press the back button in your browser twice, and then you are back where you were. Nothing lost. This works on the forums and in messages. | |

It has been happening to me every five minutes despite constantly refreshing my page. Very annoying...

| Increase inactivity timeout!! Posted: 7/15/2012 11:17:25 AM | ^^ You can get round this by pausing your 'edit profile' with the 'save' key, which throws the partially finished version up as your 'new' profile, then simply return to 'edit profile' for another five minutes of polishing/adding etc. You can do this indefinitely.

| Increase inactivity timeout!! Posted: 7/15/2012 11:26:56 AM | | Yes now that I know it is a problem with this site, I guess that is what I will have to do. Though realistically I should not have to do this every five minutes and POF should fix this timeout problem. A simple pop up to say you are about to be logged out would work much better than my watching the clock and clicking update profile in the hopes to beat being timed out and not wasting my hard spent time. I haven't ran into any timeout problems on the Iphone app, only when logged in through a computer. So please put it on the to-do list to fix this problem. It seems I am not the only one complaining. | |

| Increase inactivity timeout!! Posted: 7/16/2012 1:28:46 PM | It happens when I'm typing a message to someone. I have learned to copy it (highlight all of it and hit CTRL-C) just in case I have to log in an re-do it (CTRL-P to paste).
But yes.... VERY annoying. Should be increased to half an hour at least.

| Increase inactivity timeout!! Posted: 7/16/2012 4:38:43 PM | So this site IS free. I realize this and I am grateful. However, this is not a new topic, subject or problem. I am a little... confused? as to why the only responses I have found seem to just pass-the-buck. Would it not be a welcome show of good faith to have a responsible at least explain why the feature exists, why it is implemented in this manner and why it cannot be altered, changed or improved? While the explanations would not fix the problem they might, shall we say, appease us.
Thank you for your attention.
