What does annoy me is that a lady will start a message and say nice things, or whatever, and her profile may make good reading. Then they agree to send a pic to your email and you think "yuk"!
Whatever you write in reply is going to be taken as offensive. I'm not fond of being in that situation so I personally think everyone should put up a recent picture before they can be a member! | |

It doesn't mean they have to be good looking, but a relaxed smile or nice eyes can give a good impression of a person.
I did exchange a few messages in the past with someone with no pic, then he put on a photo, and he definitely was not someone I was physically attracted to. It was then difficult trying to think of a tactful way of avoiding further contact, without being horrible. I bottled out in the end, and just ignored any further contact.
It's like people who don't put pics on, then have their screenname as "Shrek" ...... maybe they're being ironic, but hardly conducive to getting people to contact you. | |

But some people may be just shy, or as others said because there idiots, have double standards, or married...Or maybe they don't have digitized pictures yet. Whatever, i'm sure there are some with ok reasons. I know some people still on dial up who can't really upload pictures. | |
