| | Where to go in NottinghamPage 1 of 1 | | I've just moved to Nottingham and now I have a date with someone from Sheffield next weekend. He said he is coming over lunch time but I really do not know where to suggest and he does not know anything here in Nottingham. We have been talking for awhile now and I do fancy him so far as much as he is showing me that it is reciprocal. Where to go? Any ideas? | |

If its one of the latter two, then suggest meeting at the station then just picking somewhere at random that appeals to both of you seeing as how neither of you know Nottingham very well and then take it from there. Good luck. :)

| Where to go in Nottingham Posted: 7/21/2012 4:45:34 AM | | I've not been to Nottingham recently but I do recall that the riverside/waterfront seemed to be thriving with bars and eating places etc. Good for summer, activity on the river itself to watch and talk about. All round pleasant place to be! | |

| Where to go in Nottingham Posted: 7/21/2012 9:32:32 AM | Been living here now full time since 2007. There's loads of different places.
As mentioned, round the Cornerhouse area is buzzing, and also, again as mentioned, the canalside, which I would make a beeline for, especially now summer has officially started today. I like the pub Fellows, Morton and Clayton (sounds like solicitors, I know) - very atmopsheric round there. Also, a lot of drink and foodie joints in the lace market. Thats a good place, cos if either of you are religious, you can get totally plastered in the great big massive church there which has a licence.
Perhaps for something a little different, I know of at least a couple of comedy clubs. One's on the street opposite the Indoor Arena, and the other one (Jongleurs I think) is ......sort of in the middle lol.....by another favorite pub of mine which used to be called Hogs Head, but can't remember what it's called now. Oh, and if you like being surrounded by the living dead, there's always the Pit n Pendulum!
