Here you are out on a boat on a sunny morning, the wind feels good and you have this great feeling the fish are gonna be biting....so you row on over to the side of the river that looks pretty good..all appearances say it is right...then you see what looks like the back of an alligator. Do you question yourself, stay awhile longer, poke your oar in that direction or do you row over to a spot that is less dangerous and you know there is just as many fish? I'm just saying....right now she/he/it is nothing but pics and words...move on when you feel the slightest bit uneasy. | |

The only way a user could take control of your desktop is by either physically installing some type of remote desktop program on your computer or perhaps doing some type of port forwarding which would require the user to be on the same network as you. The other option would be to trick you into downloading or phishing your info to get access to your account via email, fake website (fake pof, facebook etc. site that would look identical to the real site only the user could extract your user info upon entry) Usually what phishers are after are things like your social, credit card info.....stuff to turn a profit. As long as you didn't give any of that info you may be fine. | |

Try again and ask to meet her... follow it up with a "what day works for you?" or something like that so the ball is in her court... then if she doesn't meet you, move on. | |
